Pure Cotton Gingham School Dress (2-14 Yrs)

The cotton is lovely , well made summer school dresses . The reason I am giving only 3* is that unfortunately it shrinks when washed significantly despite washing at 30 degrees and not 40 as recommended on the instructions . I would suggest going up 2-3 sizes to get the size you need after washing

Very bad material doesn't get ironed so wrinkly and short to age size

My daughter loves it. We will definitely buy at least one more.

My granddaughter initially had school uniform dress with zip front but now refuses to wear that one after purchasing this button front dress with bow at back. Excellent quality and fits true to size - have ordered another 2

Very happy with this dress, great fabric and trims all over make it so cute. My daughter has an eye for detail and she approved this. Pockets and ties add to the look.

I usually buy the 100% cotton dresses, but this year the design has changed. The sleeves are puffy which my daughter really dislikes and there is a new tie around the waist that ties at the back. My daughter says this is uncomfortable when she sits on a chair as it digs in. The original design was much better.

Very disappointing. Material is difficult to iron and there is a weird gap at the waist below the button holes that I have had to pin.

Pleased with this in terms of quality, but we had to buy size 7-8 for our fairly petite 5.5 year old so do be aware they come up pretty small! (We usally go up one size in M&S but I'd say +2 sizes for these is not too much).

Bought for school. My daughter says they are comfortable and have kept her cool when it’s been hot.

Got a size 11 for a very slim 10 year old but it was a bit tight under the arms so wont be keeping. Disappointing as it is the only pure cotton one I've found.

Good quality, my daughter loves the bow at the back, it also has larger arms compared to other dresses, meaning that my daughter is not complaining of them being tight. Also, as this dress is made of 100% cotton, she can wear it all day without it becoming smelly!

My daughter, aged 6, chose this dress, in two shades of blue, as her favourite among several options, and it’s easy to see why. The pure cotton fabric is excellent quality, looks very smart on and my daughter says it's very comfortable. She’s been happily wearing it to school every day since we bought it. It washes well, irons easily, and the generously sized pockets are a big hit with her. Well done M&S!
