Pure Cotton Barrel Leg Trousers

great trousers and very sturdy material - they are however a little small around the waist. I am usually a size 8 and 5.3 and these trousers were tight for me. however the length was perfect as i got the short version.

Smart trousers. They fit well and look good apart from the waistband which is very small. I may yet return these if I can find a larger size in Extra Short

Really surprised by how light they are. I’m going on hols next month & these will be great. Casual or dressy. Really nice fit. Perfect length.

I’ve worn with heels, DMs and trainers. Look great with all. I’m 5”3 and purchased short length. High waist is flattering and the fabric is expensive looking.

At least 1 size too small! M&S stop cutting corners and shrinking your clothes to squeeze a few more pennies out of your profit margin! What has happened to your sizing and not to mention hip to waist ratio. I’ve always been able to rely on M&S for consistent and accurate sizing and longer leg lengths - but not any more! All the trousers and jeans that I have ordered recently have gone straight back for being too short (despite being long), too small in the waist, or too straight through the hip and seat to accomodate hips/bum. If I size up, the waist is too big and there’s a weird pouch of loose material at the front. For reference I am 5’10, hourglass shape, size 14, in my 30s, and a lifelong M&S customer. Very disappointing. Poor sizing and declining quality seems to be the new trajectory for M&S, unfortunately.

The fabric for these Barrel trousers looked so fluid in the photos but is very stiff which unfortunately leaves them looking like clown pants. Also, I buy size 10 in most trousers but these are super tight around the waist and if I were to buy the next size up….the waist would fit but the hips etc would be huge!

In the description of the trousers it says that the 'waist ist elasticated', but it is not. I would have prefered that, but they fit anyway and I will keep them

Quite tight round the waist. Would be perfect if they were elasticated. But otherwise a lovely fit everywhere else. Nice length.

So glad to finally find a pair of M&S long trousers which are long enough - they always used be! I found the waist quite small as often with loose trousers I size down but not a chance with these even my regular size are quite snug on the waist. Happy with the products overall they’re not as thick as I thought they might be but happy with them anyway.
