“I work so hard during the year that Christmas is when I stop. I come off social media for a while and try to be present with family, especially my two kids. We go down to the beach, play some backyard cricket and have some time to just be! It’s the small things that count at this time of year and I try to savour all those moments.

“My top tip for finding the perfect gift is to think about it before you go spend your money – and before the mad rush of December hits. I make notes throughout the year on people I’m buying for, and I try to make my gifts more meaningful with hand-written cards. I adore cards and collect them all year round for my loved ones. They’re so special.”

“Accessories make great gifts for family. My sister is always begging me to find her some heels, other than black, that she can scoot to the train station and then do a day’s work in. These flesh-coloured slingbacks are perfection when teamed with a pair of fitted black pants, and would be super sexy in or out of the office.

“Clementine, my four-year-old, is obsessed with bags… and glitter, so this little reindeer bag is perfect for carrying all her treasures. I love the fact she could pop it on her shelf or hang it on her door handle for some extra bling in her room.

“I adore the look of lace under a white shirt, and this bralette is feminine but says ‘boss’ at the same time.”

“Some people collect cushions. Or shoes. I collect jumpsuits. This black option is wonderful for any special occasion and has a cinched waist (needed) and flared leg. The material is lightweight and flowy; the shape is flattering. It’s elegant and understated. I like to wear colour on Christmas Day but this will definitely be considered for my Christmas parties. As for the rose-pink suede heels: divine.

“Sometimes it’s fun to go all matchy-matchy. The pink bag (with scarf – bonus!) is ‘my colour’ – I’ve worn it endlessly in 2018 and I hope the trend continues into next year. I like bags that can carry quite a bit of paraphernalia – lip-glosses, phone, sunnies, the lot. And this one caters to that and is a great price too!
