Author and health coach
“I do yoga almost every morning. It’s good exercise but also makes me feel connected and relaxed.
“Another way I keep fit is putting my son in his baby carrier and going for long walks, stopping to do lunges and squats.
“Since becoming a mum I have to be more efficient with my time – I don’t have the luxury of travelling across the city for a long yoga class. When looking for sports gear, a flattering fit is important to me.
“I also look for supportive bras with a nice shape, and fabrics you can wash frequently without them losing structure.”
Pilates instructor and blogger
“My typical week includes three pilates sessions, a run and a weights-based class such as F45. For pilates, I look for fitness gear that won’t dig in when I’m on the floor; I like soft, smooth materials.
“It’s also important not to have anything too baggy, as the teacher needs to see you have correct alignment of the hips and lower spine.
“My top tip for anyone taking up a new exercise regime is not to go too extreme – think about whether your new lifestyle is sustainable 365 days a year. And if you’re lacking motivation, concentrate on the feeling you’ll get after a workout.”
