I was browsing in an M&S store (not one I use regularly) thinking I might treat myself to a piece of jewellery, when these caught my eye. In fact it was the chain link one I saw first, out of the corner of my eye, as it stood out amongst all the other earrings - it looked a lot more classy. Imagine my surprise when I realised that there wasn't a pair to go with it! I quite liked the other one, but wasn't sure I was prepared to go for the mismatch look. Brilliant idea - I would buy two pairs and thereby I would have two matched pairs of earrings!
Only problem was, this was the last one in the shop. What a dilemma. After having a good walk round the stand, just to check, I was conscious my husband was outside, probably having looked at his watch several times already, so I made the decision to buy this pair and go home and search online for another. There was always the risk that they would be sold out online as well, but then I would just have to take the plunge and go "mismatch" after all.
So that's what I did. Got home and was pleased to find they were in stock. I am very pleased with the purchase. They look great as two separate pairs of earrings. Very long, so you do have to be careful what you wear them with, collar-wise, if they aren't to interfere with your clothes but they have the effect of making your neck look long and elegant. The matt gold effect looks more expensive than it actually is so they are very good value for money.
I haven't gone for the "mismatch" look yet but I will take the plunge at some stage, because I have tried them on like that and I do quite like the look - rather quirky, definitely different.
