This wonderfully robust red was created by skilled winemaker Alain Serveau, who has transformed the normally fruit-forward Gamay grape into a structured, sophisticated red wine. He keeps yields low in the vineyards to maintain elevated fruitiness, uses carbonic maceration (traditional in Beaujolais red-winemaking) in the winery, and matures the wine for eight to 12 months in oak casks to add depth and complexity.
