Kids’ Freshfeet™ Riptape Hightop Shoes (5 Small - 12 Small)

These seems alright for my 2 year old grandson. I had his feet measured in Clarks and got the size recommended. I assume they are a good fit as he walks well in them and they left no red marks on his feet. The side zip makes them easy to put on and off. I think elastic laces would be better as to tie them and then fasten the velcro strap makes them very bulky. Not sure how long they will last but if they wear out too quickly I will probably return them.

I was absolutely thrilled when I saw that M&S had started doing vegan kids shoes. Finding cruelty-free footwear for my little boy has been an expensive nightmare, so seeing the new vegan range here was incredible. But they simply don't fit. I don't know any 2-3 year olds with narrow feet. They all have chubby little toes. My son is an F fitting and he simply couldn't get these on. He loved them - his first 'grown-up boots', so was really disappointed when he found that they had to go back. And I was disappointed because I'd thought that my struggles were over. So, points for trying M&S, but please try to do something about your sizing. You do 'wide fit' adults, so why not introduce it for kids? You'd have a long-term customer here if you did.

These shoes were ruined within an hour of use in a playground area. The toes were not so much scuffed but torn looking. The side zips also kept opening even though they fitted around the toes and ankles. I returned them in store today. I was told the shoes are nubuck and that I should have treated them before use. From what I can see the shoes are vegan friendly. I don't see any mention of nubuck.
