Changes not an improvement
I have been buying M&S slipper mules in store for several years. Consequently I felt confident ordering online. However, this year’s version is different. The ‘cut’ is larger and the material less soft. There is also just a ridge round the heel rather than a heel that stops the mule slipping.
The price has remained the same but I would have preferred to pay a bit more, if the current design is a result of cost cutting.
I tried to add a photo proving my point but it won’t load. I would point out to someone else that the mule is now a half size too large.

These are not what you would have expected from M&S 10 years ago but unfortunately it is becoming the norm.

Very disappointed.
What has happened to these slippers. They used to continue along the side of the foot towards the heel, lowering as they went along. They also had a firm rim covering the upper part of the foot and holding the slipper in place on the foot. These slippers are baggy and do not hold on to the foot. Very disappointed as I have always bought these with a secret support. I will now have to look elsewhere.

Star Slippers
I have had these mule type slippers for many years now and have always found them enduring and have been able to successfully replace them. This pair looks the same on the face of it BUT the fabric is not as thick & soft as previous versions. Also secret support is not so pronounced for the foot arch. I have already detected that the rubber sole is not going to last as it is detaching where the foot bends. I am not as hopeful for durability but we'll see.

Star Mule
These are my third pair of these mules (over several years) and, if anything, these are more comfortable than the last. Soft, warm and obviously easy to slip on. Happy to wholeheartedly recommend.

Disappointing
Sorry, I am returning these slippers as they are far too wide. Nothing like the fit of my last pair which I'm still wearing. Why did you have to change them? I have been buying these slippers for years. I think these would be perfect for someone with very wide feet.

Disappointed
I have been buying these same slippers for years. Always order the same thing but was disappointed when I received last pair The same size I normally get is bigger, broader and not instantly comfortable as has been the way before. Can't feel that supportive bit.
