Pure Extra Fine Merino V-Neck Jumper is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 177.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight summer jumper I have several thin cotton jumpers that I wear on those cooler summer days (or carry around all day just in case!). Not sure why, but I decided to try on some of these Merino jumpers. They are even thinner and lighter than cotton. Also they hold their shape much better, whereas cotton tends to sag a bit. A number of reviewers have complained about the thinness of these jumpers. But Merino is supposed to be thin! It's an incredibly fine wool. And also very strong. The texture is unusual compared to cotton/wool/cashmere etc, but I really like it. Since I bought the Merino jumper I haven't worn any of my cotton ones. I bought the navy blue, but am tempted to get some other colours too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality I have had some really nice robust merino jumpers from M&S in the past which have looked good and lasted well. This latest version seems like a poor attempt, falling apart at the seams and disintegrating in a 30 degree wash - supposedly safe at 40. Ordered 3 different colours 2 weeks ago - first one returned. Second jumper now separating at the seams and I suspect the third won't be far behind.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from very good... for about 3-5 washes I bought one of these, and liked it enough to go back and grab another 2. Worn over a shirt, or just as a top. Washed on a cool non-bio cycle. Very light wear: each top maybe once every week or 10 days. On one, the seam came apart in the v-neck after only a couple of weeks, making it unwearable in public. The other two developed minor seam issues in the first month, but not so obvious or severe. One then developed holes in the chest and the other holes in the I've owned multiple items in this Merino style, and they've been pretty timeless items, lasting years. The manufacturer of these items hasn't go the fabric and seaming right. Perhaps its the silk, or poor quality merino (these aren't as soft as others I've owned), or to light a gauge of thread. But I can't recommend them. All three now, sadly, in the bin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Husband looking good I bought this extra fine merino jumper and my husband was pleased. When he put it on he was delighted. The fit is excellent, the colour (mid blue) very flattering and the quality by far the best I could hope for. He has worn it on a cool day with a white 'T' shirt whilst on holiday and also when we came home with a formal white and and blue striped shirt. The sleeves have not bagged at the rib and the fit is still neat. I have washed it on a low wash and dried it on a hanger, without any change to the shape. Hope that M & S also think of bringing out a 'V' necked sleeveless version in extra fine merino wool I the same colour.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed - Pure Merino Wool Jumper I have wore this jumper on two occasions. I have just taken the jumper off and the stitching under the left arm has opened up leaving a large hole. The wool is OK but clearly the arm has not been attached properly. I have recently started renewing my entire wardrobe of clothes and did not anticipate this poor quality from Marks and Spencer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Falls apart Shame as great design and in merino wool, which is hard to find, but the quality of these jumpers has reduced greatly in the last couple of years or so. Have a couple from a few years back which are great, but the last two, from last year and this year, have come apart at the neckline after only a few wears, so won't be buying anymore until M&S sorts out the quality of its knitwear.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 1 of 4 fitted nicely but...quality control issues? I think M&S has some serious issues over its sizes, specifically the inconsistency between one and another. This particular Turquoise Large jumper was the only one that fitted well enough to keep. I ordered a large and extra large in a tourquoise and navy jumper. I am a regular size large in everything I wear but wanted to play safe. Tourquoise XL, too big and loose. Size L, fine. Navy size L, felt tighter. Odd. Thought it might be a medium, but not. Tried the XL and it fitted quite well. Very odd, leading to lots of changes of all four jumpers in case I was imagining it. Then I laid them flat which confirmed my suspicions. Turquoise XL the biggest. Navy XL smaller. Turquoise L only marginally smaller than that. The Navy L smaller still. I then compared other size L jumpers I own, including a couple of M&S. They were marginally smaller than the Navy XL but bigger than both the new L sizes. So fed up was I with this inconsistency that I contemplated returning all four but belatedly decided to keep the Turquoise Large. How can the sizing be so far out for the same family of jumper? Seems like a quality control issue to me that needs sorting.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sleeves too short! My husband is 6ft 3ins tall and we always buy M&S shirts that are 2 ins longer. They always fit well (body and sleeves). This jumper was described as being 2 ins longer and although the body was fine it looked as if they forgot to add 2 ins extra length to the sleeves.
