Non-Iron Pure Egyptian Cotton Duvet Cover is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from disappointed I have bought a number of bedding sets over the years from M&S and have always been impressed with the quality and comfort levels. However I just bought this duvet (and matching pillow cases and fitted sheet) and am unimpressed. The cotton is very stiff and doesn't feel comfortable against skin. (Not sure if this is related to the 'stay new' technology?) More worryingly is the colour transfer from the bedding onto anything white. I did choose a dark colour (Winter Teal) but there was no warning on the packaging suggesting the colour may transfer. And it has. A lot. Im hoping once they've had a wash they might soften and the colour transfer ceases, but generally disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Green duvet cover and more! When in the UK recently I bought two bed sets. Unfortunately bought the wrong size duvet cover so had to reorder the right one on line. I have bought lots of lovely bedclothes in the past from M&S that were a delight to sleep in but these are pretty awful. It is like sleeping between sheets of paper and when you shake them to fold them up they actually sound like you are shaking paper - they make a rattling sound. The other bed set is slightly different cotton and not as paper like as this one but they both look like rags on the bed. I am so disappointed. What has happened to your quality M&S???

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Disappointment I splashed out on these duvet covers and pillow cases because the colours - antique pink, light verdigris and silver grey - were subtle and perfect matches for my new curtains. I thought that being non-iron they would be trouble free and save my bad back. Not so! Although I washed them carefully and according to instructions they creased terribly and were extremely difficult to iron. Ironing them damp with a steam iron is the only way to make them just about presentable. I wish I had read the reviews before buying!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Heavy creased duvet cover Disappointed with this new range. The king sized duvet cover is heavier than the old non iron range due to coating, which makes it stiffer. The style is good with cording across front about 2 feet from top. However it comes out from tumble drier very creased. Have tried different timings to no avail. My old non iron cotton duvet cover came out with few creases that a quick iron would make perfect if wanted. This requires much effort from a steam iron to make acceptable. The non iron properties have got worse with more washes but the stiffness remains. The fitted sheet and pillowcases washed separately to the duvet cover are not so creased probably due to being a smaller load.. The special new coating seems to be the problem. Only buy if you like stiff bedding and ironing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Egyptian Cotton Duvet Cover Like the other two reviewers, I found this cover very disappointing. I was looking for non-iron cotton as duvet covers are so hard to handle. This one is very creased after washing and still needs ironing. After two washes it is still very stiff and not comfortable to sleep under. In the past I have found a soft, non-iron duvet cover so they should still be available. I wish I had looked at the reviews first but only came across it in store and thought I had found what I wanted.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awfu - l like sleeping on sand paper Awful bed linen have full set but will be taking it back tomorrow. Its like sleeping on sand paper, very stiff, rough and scratchy, in fact I had very little sleep last night. I have washed again today and still no better. I have other Egyptian cotton bed linen from else where that is lovely but I bought this set as it was the only one I could find in the colour I wanted ( dusky pink ) lovely colour but that is the only good thing about it !!! Not what you expect from M&S

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfort v convenience Bought full set of duvet cover, sheet, pillow case. Same comments for all. Pros: ironing definitely not needed (though I do iron the pillowcases). Feels like freshly laundered items even a week after washing. Seems likely to 'stay new' (though early days). Cons: not what I expected of Egyptian cotton. My previous bedding, bought elsewhere, much much softer. Conclusion: Not as nice a sleeping experience as 'normal' Egyptian cotton, but looks better with minimal effort.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My worst bedlinen This is the worst cotton bedlinen I have ever bought in my 40 years of marriage! The creases after washing are terrible. I don't use a tumble dryer but can't imagine you can just take it out and hang it withoutout ironing. I agree with a previous reviewer that it is puzzling how some customers have given it a good review.
