Rated 2 out of 5 by from Oatmeal long cardigan Lovely colour, good length and style but, and it’s a big but .... the material ... awful. Why spoil what could have been a great addition to the wardrobe by using a cheap thin knit. A couple of washes and it would look out of shape and like a rag. I am so disappointed in M&S clothes now. They used to be so dependable, my go to store for style and quality. What has happened to you, is it the designers or the buyers? Something has to change. I now feel inclined to only shop there for food which is still good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely spring cover up... Really like the extra long length, fine on me at 5ft 6in, and love the lighter fabric for Spring but the button holes are incredibly tight and I think the stitching may tear if you use them as the buttons are a little large. Fortunately I wear cardis open and this seems style seems fashioned to wear open as the fabric across the front half is skimpy The buttons are disappointingly heavy looking for the style but I may change them. Will have to see how these wash (I have the blue and the cream) but overall, I like these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A useful wardrobe addition The buttoned up image of this long line cardigan was a little offputting, but the photo of the model showing it undone persuaded me this would be a stylish addition to wear over lightweight summer clothing when the British weather turns cooler or unseasonal. I chose a neutral colour.to match everything. The good quality buttons lift this item from the ordinary to the little bit special. The longer length is flattering.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Thin material and buttons too big I’m a true size 12 (usually a 10 in M&S due to their larger sizing) and 5’9” so bought both the small & medium to try. The small fitted ok, but the sleeves were a bit short. The material is thin and the garment a bit limp and cheaply made. The buttons are too big for the buttonholes. If the button could be undone, you could see the buttonhole stretching and one was already torn. Not good value for money. More like the quality of clothing you can buy in cheaper clothing stores.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unexpectedly Nice As the title implies, wasn't expecting a great deal from this, but needed a layering piece. Actually sat on wardrobe door for a few days as was planning to return, but tried on and found to be a nice colour, a change from khaki and goes nicely with some of the orange pieces around this year and, while not as thin as would have liked, does hang well, especially over capri length trousers. Only complaint is the buttons, as mentioned by others, too large for the holes, but as will wear it open, not a problem for me, so a surprise keeper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Khaki long cardigan This is a nice cardigan that has a light summer feel about it. It is quite long but didn't feel too long, I'm under five foot four. The large felt too big for my size 16 body. I am going to order a medium size to see if that looks better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Summer cardigan Ordered navy medium. Fine fabric with a slight marl because of linen content Very long. Sizing about right. Colour a bit more navy than shown.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely cardigan This really is a lovely cardigan. I am an average size 10/12 and ordered the small and it was a perfect fit although I only bought it to wear open with a vest top in the summer so if you want to wear with thicker clothes you might want to go up to medium. I ordered the cream and it’s a very nice colour. I haven’t worn it yet so don’t know how well it will wash or wear but it feels a good quality so have high hopes.
