Lovely colour but not ideal for taller people
I love the colour of this coat (mustard), and the material feels good. It is also a very nice length (just below the knee). But the waistline and the belt is way too high for me. I am 178 cm tall, so sadly it is uncomfortable. If the belt is tied at the back as in one of the pictures, then it is ok.
Another slight problem is that the inner buttons are on the way of the pocket lining. So, when you put your hands in the pockets there is this slight uncomfortable feeling as these inner buttons are sewed in to limit the inner pocket lining. And of course there is no hood.. But none of the trench coats seem to have it, so it's not a fault really. Still thinking whether to keep it..

Terrible fit!
I ordered this online with a 20% discount to replace a M&S trench coat I’ve had for many years which is incidentally a size 12. I ordered this in a size 14 to allow for a little more room and I am usually a 12-14 in M&S clothing. I found this trench coat too long and it didn’t have a back split at the bottom of the trench, like previous designs, so the bottom buttons wouldn’t do up as the coat had no flare and was more straight in design. The top was too big and just looked bulky. Disappointing and not as good as previous years in quality or design. Will be returned. M&S please look at your sizing more carefully.

Fabulous
Loved this raincoat so much that I bought 3!,, navy, blush and baby blue. Fabulous value, quality and versatility. I can dress up with high heals or equally dress down with jeans and converse. Fully lined, does not crease and could not believe the price!! The colour choice is also fantastic, the shop didn’t have any of the colours I wanted, but by lunch the next day, they had arrived in store. I am a size 10 and the 10 fitted perfectly. My only little criticism would be the depth of the pockets, as I love to have my hands in my pockets, but I can live with that for all the other big pluses! Well done M and S, keep up the good work. You’ve won me over!

My Smart Blue Trench Coat
I was very worried about ordering a trench coat online. As I am 5'8. in height and not thin I went for a size 18. When it arrived in perfect condition I tried it on and was so pleased to see it fitted beautifully. I like the flap at the back as helps to make the coat look very smart. I was also pleased to see the two holders at the back for the belt, this helps with wearing the belt in different ways. The length is great as it stops my jeans from getting soaked in the rain. The colour blue is perfect as are the lovely deep pockets. I am extremely pleased with this coat and would like other colours. Thanks M&S..

A beautiful trench coat.
I purchased the black one at my local m&S. The style and quality is excellent and very good value for the money. I like the fabric as I think it won't show any bits off fluff. For a size 12 it comes up a little bit large, but it will be ok to wear a thick jumper if needed. I certainly would recommend it, so much so, that I've ordered another one in a different. Well done m&S.

Ordered one of the coats originally and it was not fitted at all. Went into store to try on further coats and found a similar coat but with a bit of fit and flare at the bottom.
Coats were VERY similar but barcodes different. Returned original coat and took screen shot of the barcode of the better fitting coat (didn't have in my size in store)
Ordered online using the code and was sent the same coat I originally ordered. So returned.
It is far too big on top and doesn't give you any shape from waste down.
Such a shame.

Trench coat with Storm wear
I liked the style of this trench coat and the length (sits above calf)I am 5ft 5in. It was lighter than expected but liked the fact it had stormwear protection . However was slightly dissapointed with the workmanship . The first one I purchased , when you put your hands in the pockets you couldn't get them right into the pocket as it had been caught in the stich of the inside button! The second one had the sleeve strap sewn inside out !! Thankfully 3rd time lucky . Overall I think for the money it was good value and a great Autumn/Spring Mac and on trend.

Classy looking coat
The trench coat is a beautiful fit. This is longer than the normal mac styles that I usually purchase from M&S, but it looks more classic. Love it in the navy too, looks more expensive than it actually is. Fits very well too, definitely recommend.
