Disappointing
Really liked the look of these trousers and ordered online as not available in my size in store. Having read all the previous reviews was a little uncertain regarding the sizing, but ordered my usual size and in fact that was fine. The problem seemed to be with the cut rather than size - they fitted well around the waist/tummy area, but the thigh area was too big and baggy which was really unflattering, then tapered in slightly. I guess we are used to wearing slimmer cut trousers these days, but even so the size of the legs did seem disproportionate with the rest of the trousers. Shame, but had to be returned.

terrible sizing
I bought a pair of these chinos last summer they fitted perfectly and I was very happy with them. Delighted to see that they were back and in different colours. But ........ blimey what have they done to sizing? I remember when one could go to M&S and not need to try things on (they didn't have fitting rooms) because you just knew that your size would fit,
I compared the sizing of the chinos i bought in August with chinos I bought today. Same style with the rolled up hem but there is a 2.5 inch difference in the size in the waist.
Ridiculous. They'll be back in store tomorrow!

Perfect pink
I looked at the other reviews and they were exactly right. The waist is smaller than usual so I had to return the size I bought and get the next size up. Luckily it worked, but M&S has some very strange sizings at the moment. As these chinos are not supposed to be a tight tight fit, the next size up are fine. I did want the pink colour and they are not that easy to find so all ok in the end. I like the slightly thicker fabric, can be worn when cooler and because they are not a skinny fit, the polka dot pocket fabric does not show through but I do suggest you get the size up to avoid these issues. Washes very well too. I got the short size too so they were proper Capri look on a tall figure.

FAVOURITE SUMMER TROUSERS
I love the colour and pattern, the feel of the fabric and the great fit. The trousers are comfortable on the waist and a perfect length for my height. They can be worn turned up or full length, making them versatile. Since purchasing them, I've worn them several times a week for shopping, beach walks and just relaxing at home. They have been washed regularly and need very little ironing. They don't crease in wear. These are the perfect summer trouser, smart enough to be able to dress up eg with a tailored white or navy t-shirt, jacket and scarf or just as leisure wear.

Disappointed
I ordered these chinos in size 20short on line to click and collect at my local store
finding trousers that are the correct length for a “shortie” can be an impossible task ,so I was pleased to see these and was hoping they would be perfect for an upcoming holiday..........I decided to try them on before leaving the store,along with two pairs of shorts I ordered .........how disappointed was I.... the chino shorts were exactly the same style and size fitted me perfectly...the trousers however,were at least 3inches smaller at the waistband and I could not fasten them..WHY??
So I had to have a refund and leave the store dissatisfied once again with the lottery that is online shopping especially from Marks and Spencer
Please can we have some consistency with your sizing

What's not to like?
Ordered these on a whim with various other trousers. I already have a couple of pairs of M&S chinos, plain colours, and liked the fine stripe on these. I also like that they are pure cotton - no nasty microplastics here. I ordered my normal size and they fit me perfectly. They arrived with a folded-up hem and like this the hems are about on my ankle bone - I'm 5' 4", but would be slightly longer unrolled. I like this length for summer. Have not worn them yet so can't say how well they wash, but can't foresee any problems. I might order the other colour.

Pink Striped Chinos
I bought these in Size 14 Long. I sometimes buy size 12 in trousers in M&S but decided to go up a size as I can always take them in if necessary. They are slightly big on me but comfortable round the waist. I chose these as they had 2% elastane in the fabric and thought they would fit better. Very pleased with them. Bought long length as I like them to come to my ankles which they do and I am about 5.5. Haven't washed yet but had to say yes or no to the washing question. I think they will wash well though. Ideal trousers for summer.

Lovely summer weight trousers
I normally wear size 10 regular length (I’m 5ft 4in) Having read previous reviews I ordered 10 and 12 in long length. The 10 fit perfectly and the length turned up sits just below my ankle bone - so full length. I’m pear shaped and they fit well on the waist and hips. The material ‘gave’ slightly in wear but didn’t go baggy just slightly looser. I bought the white mix and they’re a nice light colour and slightly more forgiving and flattering than pure white. The fabric is cool and lightweight but not flimsy. I appreciate they won’t fit everyone in the same way but for me they are just right. I love them
