Cotton Blend Trench Coat with Stormwear™ is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nearly Big Enough I am 6ft 3inches, and have used the 'Big and Tall' section of M&S often for my coats, suits and shirts. They don't normally let me down. Unfortunately, this coat has committed the ultimate crime for tall people's clothing- the arms are not quite long enough! I wore it for a few weeks with my shoulders unconsciously 'hunching in' to compensate. I asked lots of people if they thought the sleeves were too short- and they all said "no, the sleeves are fine". But I knew!! So I have taken the coat to an alterations place, and they've brought the sleeves down, and it now feels fine. Otherwise, it's a good coat. But for £150 it should be really!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I think this coat is let down by the quality of the finish. It has a lot of puckered seams and the 'adjustable' straps on the sleeves are pointless because they don't adjust sufficiently to make any difference; as it is they appear to be a pointless design feature. The bottom front of the coat opens a lot when walking and needs a tab fastening, like the one at the back pleat, to prevent this; I bought a long length fit so maybe this isn't such a problem on the standard length. Such a great pity because this has the potential to be a good buy. Not like M&S quality of the past. Unfortunately I returned mine. I'm not sure of the relevance of the term 'Luxury' in the description.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish raincoat Excellent mac, stylish and lovely quality. Cotton blend material means it does not feel as plasticky as a lot of raincoats and so probably more breathable too. Removable leather collar and padded lining make it flexible for wearing in colder or warmer weather. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect work coat for winter Luckily tried on in store and knew that my 42' chest needed a medium. A little narrow in the shoulders but I'm broad so often have this issue. Quality is fantastic and is warm but surprisingly lightweight

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fashionable wet weather coat I popped down to Lakeside M&S today with the intention of buying a car coat or a parka, but the ones I tried on all felt either too warm or too heavy. Then I tried this trenchcoat on but my normal XL was too tight across the chest. It might be my diet but XXL was more my sizing, and it feels lightweight too. It also looks better than in the photo with its darker collar and I guess would be worn undone most of the time. Collar belt not needed but in my opinion it's a good buy. Wax cotton cap as an accessory is an idea.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good mac I first bought the cotton blend jacket, and now this cotton blend mac. I am happy with both. There are some slight differences in terms of workmanship, color, fit. First, the jacket is a bit more on greenish side, while the mac is little bit more on yellow or grey side. The jacket is made in Vietnam, mac in China. Slightly better workmanship can be seen for the mac. The jacket is a bit bulky at size M for me, while the mac is perfect fit, also at size M. Both are labelled with the same cotton/polyester/polyamide composition. But the jacket is softer in touch, while the mac has a nice brushed finish. Interestingly the blue color jacket, has similar brushed finish, which suggests the cotton content could be more? I am not sure. Overall, I am quite happy with all my purchases.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The XL cost that is too small I don’t mind what size a clothing article is, as long as it fits me - this coat in an XL size did not. That’s not so bad in itself, but then compared to XL Polo tops I had in the same order, it is. The XL tops were too big for me, and not by a small margin. But even the two styles of Polo shirt were different. The more expensive Modal version was 2” wider around the body, then the less expensive cotton version. It would be good if sizes were standardised - especially from the same store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish and practical, a real winner My husband looks really good in this coat. It’s a very good fit. Husband is 6’ 3” tall and the coat comes to knee length for him, which is ideal. The detailing on the coat, including the stylish pleat at the back and the detachable corduroy collar, make it look far more expensive. The colour and fabric are great and it’s windproof and warm. It’s ticked all the boxes and we think it’s very good value for the quality of the garment.
