Boys' Skinny Leg Regular Fit Trousers is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 63.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the best I ordered these trousers for my son as they have an adjustable waist and his last few pairs were from M&S but when I got them home they wouldn’t adjust....the elastic had been stitched into the seam so we’re unable to stretch the elastic. Ordered an other pair next day and guess what they were the same stitched into the seam so would not adjust..... Obviously whoever quality checks isn’t doing their job.. I also ordered a different pair in the same size and round the hips and bum were huge... Not what I expect from Marks, no wonder my local store is closing, what has happened to the quality of your items????? Went elsewhere and bought ones that fitted and adjusted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased but... Why do you have SO many separate but near identical listings for school trousers eg with or without the adjustable hem, one back pocket or two, back pockets with zip or button or neither, and slim/skinny etc etc... can't you just give them ALL an adjustable hem, decide on EITHER one or two back pockets (doesn't really matter), give ALL back pockets either a zip or nothing (but not a lumpy button that catches on things - does anyone want that?). Then we can simply choose boys or girls school trousers and the rest could all be drop-down options within the same screen for the colour, flat / pleated, waist size and length (short/standard/long/extra long). It's crazy having to look up about 8 different styles and see what options are available for each. The search options on the left of the screen don't work properly and if you go 'back' the page becomes unresponsive, so it would be easier to only go forward.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too many different fits Oh dear, where to start? My youngest is currently wearing slim fit skinny leg trousers. Now he's filling out a bit and getting taller, time for some new school trousers. Easy right? Heck no! Plus fit, regular fit, slim fit. Regular leg, slim leg, skinny leg, extra skinny leg¡!!!!! So first we went for next size up, slim leg (the label in his current ones said slim). Wrong. Leg too wide, not remotely slim. Returned those, re-ordered same age, skinny leg. Not skinny when compared to his current trousers, at least an inch (probably two) wider at the bottom. Arrggghhh! So frustrating. So now I think my only option is slim fit skinny leg even though he's filling out. Two trips to the store, a third to come and now the 20% offer has finished. Always buy M&S school trousers but this is incredibly frustrating and time consuming. What is going on with the fit?? There is my review, bet you're glad you asked!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Please read - Quality control fail These are lovely quality trousers and wash well. However, there seem to be problems with the adjustable band being sewn through thus making them fixed. I bought four pairs before the summer holidays. It was only on the first day of school that I took the labels off, marked my son’s name on them and then came to pull the adjustable elastic to ensure a good fit to find that they wouldn’t pull as they’d been sewn through to the waist band. Checking the other pairs I found another to be the same. I would recommend these trousers as they are quality but before buying check the adjustable elastic works!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from lovely school trousers Ordered a pair of each of the different styles that marks have an these are the only ones that fit the best there just nice in the leg width not skinny more a slim fit an good at the waist, we've tried trousers from other brands as well but these seem to be the ones that fit my sons bum the best he’s only 6 but really small but has a bum so most of the other fits are either way too baggy or too tight round the bum glad we found these will be ordering more. Lovely material seem good quality an look nice on him very smart. Would recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great school trousers I ordered a traditional uniform brand of trousers and a pair of these as a back-up. However, when my darling son decided to cut a hole in one of his pairs of trousers I replaced them with these as they outperformed the traditional brand hands down. They don't bobble or mis-shape at the knee, the crease down the front stays in tact and they generally don't need ironing! Very pleased with them as I'd read some reviews which weren't great and only bought because M&S is convenient for me. However, I would recommend to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boys skinny school trousers Really like these trousers, they wash well and are hard wearing. The big problem is that I have had six pair that have split from the zip downwards. We have made sure that they aren’t too small and have bought two sizes up but still had the same problem I have returned three pair and have been given replacement. I was unable to return the others I had purchased because my grandson needed them for school so I had to repair them. The stitching is very loose and this problem need to be looked at to remedy the problem. In all other ways I’m happy with them. Please address this problem.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fit fine but both pairs split within weeks Okay, so maybe my son shouldn’t be kicking a football and running around at lunchtime (he’s 15 and had 2 pairs of these in age 15/16 size) but none of skinny leg George or F&F school trouser have split in the seam under the same stress! Seems to me there’s a problem with this particular style M&S school trousers. Do I recommend them? If your child is a sedentary type who never runs or kicks a ball wearing them, then yes. My son liked the style and fit. If you son is sport, active and too lazy to change into trackies at lunchtime - then I definitely DONT recommend these!
