2 Pack Boys' Slim Leg Trousers is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 287.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from New school trousers I ordered age 11-12 as my son is tall for the year and growing. Length wise the trousers were find but the fit around the pocket area was awful. My son is a slim build (not skinny not fat) but the pockets puffed out as if the trousers were too tight. the fit at the waist was fine but they just looked too small / tight. It is odd and was unexpected as he has other age10-11 trousers from M&S which fit better in this area (but that are getting too short or have football related ripped knees) Normally I get the regular not the slim fit but thought slim would just be a leg width issue.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Son's school trousers I am very confused with the school trousers? In September we bought skinny leg trousers but after a few washes they got tighter and tighter. I did not tumble dry them either. Then we tried various slim ones but they are all very wide round the bottom area my son is a fussy 14 year old but the descriptions are very confusing. On the label of the skinny ones it says skinny but when you type the product code into the website it comes up as slim. We have exhausted all the styles now and have given up! It's a shame because the materials are very good quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Robust but soft These seem to come up large. My 4 1/2 year old (101cm tall) needed age 2-3 when he started school (despite being 4-5 trousers everywhere else. Now I’ve bought the 3-4 size and he’s 102cm so still smaller sizing than other places. However, they are really soft but really robust. He clearly puts them through their paces but they’re immaculate still and have way outlasted him. The recent ones I bought were faulty in that the adjustable elastic with button on the inside waist had actually been sewn with the belt loop which meant it was now not adjustable! Very frustrating and would’ve returned but needed them urgently so unlocked and re-sewed them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful quality (even for the price!) I've bought these trousers for my son for a few years, this year however the material seems to be far thinner and the quality much poorer. Last school year, 4 pairs of trousers lasted a year, since last September we've been through 6 pairs - they rip extremely easily, even if only slightly caught, which is not good school playground activities! Will not buy again. Also, I'm not sure how the size of these items, but my child is a normal height and build for his age but I cannot pull in the waist enough to fit him on a size 8-9 but the length is almost too short and the gathered waist looks terrible.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality, not usual M&S standard Always buy school trousers here, as like to purchase good quality long lasting durable school wear that if they don’t grow last them the whole school year, and M&S normally always fit the bill. However thoroughly disappointed with this years purchase. They are so thin they are practically see though. Washed once, came out practically dry they were so thin. I would imagine younger children would rip these easily playing in the playground. My son commented that they feel like jogging bottoms rather than suit trousers, he’s used to wearing trousers that are thicker and complement his school look with blazer shirt and tie. Will be returning this morning.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Thin fabric My son likes these trousers, so we kept them and as I didn't get organised for the new school year until the last minute, we didn't have time to find a better alternative. However, the fabric is very thin - you can actually see through it if you hold it up to the light. It is shiny and cheap-looking when washed - I have to iron these trousers very carefully with a pressing cloth to get them to look smart. Also they are so snug around the bottom and the grey pocket piece is cut so meanly that you can see the white pocket lining when they're on, and my son is average size. They will only last one term if we're lucky. I won't buy any more of these.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality compared to other styles. Ordered this style in the charcoal colour as l purchase the double packs for better value always from m&s school wear . How disappointed was l!!! I was surprised at the difference in comparison to other styles /colours that were available when l returned them. The colour was awful and the quality was worse . They felt and looked really cheap so opted for the tailored slim /flat front double pack in grey (previously purchased) and were 100% better in style ,quality and fit. 20%off bonus .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheaply and poorly made The belt loops in one pair of these trousers was stitched into the elastic inside the waistband so the waist could not be adjusted. I would have returned them except I had waited months for the size to be in stock so I ended up unpicking the belt loops to release the elastic and restitching. Compared to similar trousers purchased from M&S a few years ago the fabric is thin and they are poorly assembled. I have generally been prepared to pay more for school uniform at M&S as I felt the quality was better than supermarket brands, however this is no longer the case and I shall be saving my money in future.
