Set of 4 Wood Effect Placemats & Coasters

I already had a set of these and was delighted to see that they had been reduced in the sale. So pleased with their minimum design and good quality. Now if I have 8 round for dinner, at least all the place mats and coasters will match!

I did wonder before ordering whether the mats could be used for very hot dishes. I checked the description but there was no information. Unfortunately the mats were not suitable as they can't be used but you find out when you open them. I will be returning the mats.

overall the matts are of good quality and at the price we paid worth it. They are a little lighter than we thought and the grain at times a little mismatch but over all happy

Lovely set looks nice on dining table or coasters on side table. Wipes clean easily.

I bought in the sale and was very pleased with the place mats and coasters.

I ordered these as I have been looking for some wooden mats to replace some I’ve had for ages. The colour on the picture was perfect though when I was placing my order is said various colours but didn’t give an options. Because of this I presumed that they would be as shown though when I got them they were a darker wood not a light wood like my sonoma furniture so I had to return them.

I bought 2 sets of these mats. Out of the 8 placemats, 4 of them needed their rough edges sanding with fine sandpaper due to small splinters being a hazard. Once that had been done they seem fit for purpose but we will be careful to keep checking the edges. The undersides have a small black ‘rubber’ disk at each corner to raise it off table surface. Not sure how durable they will be as yet.

The placemats are very practical and look to be hard wearing. They are a little bit smaller than I thought they would be and it would have been nice to have them larger as our plates hang over the edge.

I only received one placemat, not four and no coasters. The one I got didn’t seem to be the best quality, not the best veneer I think.
