Linen Rich Striped Pencil Midi Skirt

Very disappointed. Much too long unless your very tall. Filled ok, but came down almost to my ankles!

This is such a comfortable skirt, nicely fitted at the front and elasticated at the back of the waistband so very forgiving. As it can be tumble dried its very quick and easy to wash and wear. The colours and pattern are great.

I love the design of this skirt. It sits well at the front however the back is bunched just below the elasticated waist at the back. I'm now looking for a top that is short at the front and a bit longer at the back to cover some of it as I don't know quite how it could be altered. The material is thin but no thinner than I would expect from a linen summer skirt. It is perfect for hot weather and I certainly wouldn't want lining in there too. Having read the other reviews I think that there must be quite a disparity in quality, shape and cut in the manufacture of this skirt. The one I bought is marginally longer at the back but that is barely noticeable. I checked the M&S website daily for a smaller size to come into stock and have finally noticed one tonight. I might order that to compare as perhaps a smaller size will sort out the bunching

Nice design. Fitted well but a bit puffed and ruched under the elasticated back waist. Fabric far too thin for a skirt and creased to death.

I didn't get as far as trying this skirt on before I returned it. For a start, there was a flaw in the green stripe and before I decided to re -order on a closer inspection I saw the fabric was thin and a little bit see-through. I also didn't like the idea of the side splits, which I could see would tear due to the finish and thinness of the fabric.

Line of skirt was spoilt by side splits. Great shame as the material and colour was perfect.

Another item which doesn’t live up to its picture. Looked lovely on the web page and was ideal colours for a spring wedding outfit but....oh dear such thin material not at all what line conjures up and why yet another uneven hem -longer at back. Oh well yet another return to store.

The stripes at the top are not flattering and it would have been an easier fit if there were some stretch in the fabric. No zip just an elasticated waistband. RETURNED

I loved the look of this skirt, when it arrived I loved the colour and the style but the material was totally unsuited to both - very flimsy and untidy looking. It needed something with more body. To add to my deisappointment the length was perfect and it fitted beautifully!
