Slim Bootcut Trousers

These were a good fit and would make a staple in a working wardrobe. They retain their shape after wearing and the material has a quality feel. I have a pair in both black and navy!

I have looked for a navy pair of formal work trousers, size 6, for several years. Always the waist sizes have been much too wide, some literally wide enough to set a plant pot down the back, and always needing altered or a belt to hold in place. This pair, and another from M&S, are the first to have a proper waist size and look really good without the extra bulk of hitched in waistbands. M&S, thanks at last. Four pairs purchased which I can look forward to wearing immediately.

I was disappointed by the fit of these trousers, and returned them. I'm 5ft 2in,a size 8 or 10, and the short length was fine, but they - and all the other M&S trousers I've tried on in the past week, approx 10 pairs in total - are tight around thighs and backside, too loose around the waist and too low at the waist. None of us are a standard shape, and I don't expect all M&S trousers to fit me, but I usually find a couple of pairs that work. This year, after an in-store visit trying on several pairs, and then trying an online order for 4 more pairs, and not finding one that fits, I'm a bit despairing.

Fed up of repeatedly buying trousers from m&s and hems falling apart within a couple of days....trousers described as slim fit also not correct. Very disappointed on numerous purchases now

I bought these for work, I'm a size 10, and that is what usually fits me, I wore these for a week, but found them too loose, so gave them to a colleague & re - ordered in a size 8, which fit beautifully. The material is good quality, they wash and iron well.

These are perfect for work. Fit well, good quality and a fair price. If they come back in stock I shall buy more.

These trousers are a good fit and the perfect length for me. They launder well and keep their shape. I have flagged these as true to fit but I have noticed that M&S size generously so I did order a size smaller than usual as I don’t like to have a baggy rear end!

Good fit short fit a little too long but liked the style ,wished the material was a little thicker also would like grey or brown

Was so pleased to find some navy bootcuts online, ordered two pairs as thinking positively. Yuk when I opened the package up & saw the fabric I knew I couldn't keep them. Tried them on anyway, but the fabric looks cheap & nasty. Please could M&S stock some navy bootcuts like their black ones that are £5.50 cheaper. Better fabric & far more flattering without the pockets.

I hadn't realised they had pockets on the hip and at the back, and found they spoiled the line over the hips, kind of gaping. The waist was a bit on the small side (size 12) but I could see that there was a hint of the 'jodhpur' on the thighs and if I'd bought a bigger size, the pockets might not have gaped but the 'jodhpur' effect would have been more pronounced. I thought the line, and the quality were good, so I'm a bit disappointed. I bought another pair of size 12 at the same time, and the waist is fine on them.
