Pure Linen Vest Top

I had hoped this white linen vest would be perfect for my holiday. Unfortunately, as so often happens with sizing from M & S these days the cut of the armholes was far to large for the size I had purchased. I had to return it and could not buy a smaller size as the width and length was not right.

Purchased in sale which made it good value. A nice linen fabric. Loose style perfect for this fantastic current warm weather. (Usually wear a 14, the style of this vest makes a size 14 on the big side.) Armholes gape and are on the large size - will need to be taken in.

I choose this top to wear on vacation - looks good with shorts or a skirt - although been linen it does crease easy -

Bought in white to go under a beach style shirt used as a shacket. Very pleased with shape with longer fit and rounded bottom. Added bra secures, and went to London on an early August day when weather sunny, cloudy, muggy indoor outdoor day travelling by train, bus, foot, in museums etc sort of day with shoulder bag. Very impressed as it stood up well to a day of heavy wear, ideal over in this case casual linen peg trousers or under jacket as part of suit. Sling the jacket, add a scarf/ wrap and go for day to night wear, add back jacket or shacket and wrap for chillier end of evening or morning. Choose shorts, crops, sarong, it will look good. Will buy 2nd, in white, also in any other colour available. A winner M&S, any chance of more colours please. Ideal for capsule wardrobe. More versatile than linen shift dress but bemused by similar price.

I wanted a plain sleeveless linen top and this was it . Unfortunately a black label stitched in to the back of the top shows very clearly onto the right size. A useful top for the garden - but not smart as the label spoils the look.

This is an excellent top -good quality linen and reasonably well finished for the price. However I tried two sizes one I would have expected to fit but was bit tight over the bust and hips but with a baggy armhole. The next size up was too large everywhere and needless to say the armhole was too big showing acres of bra- not attractive and I’m too well advanced in years to go without. So sorry Marks&Spencer it’s not for me.

Very strange fit, big at top and too tight over waist and hips. Also in white it is see thru despite being A reasonable quality linen fabric. Not for me sadly, returned

Again I have returned this v neck camisole as the cut was not right for me. Shoulders cut too wide and v neck did not sit well. I also would have liked it a little bit longer.pity, because the material was nice.

Arm holes very wide and v neck didn’t sit well. Liked style but unfortunately fit was not for me

Loved this when I saw it online but ordered my usual size 12 and was far too big on the armholes just like the linen dresses. Maybe made at the same place. Ordered the 10 to see if that was better and still the armholes were too big. Such a shame as the fabric and style are good.
