Pure Linen Shirt

This is a well made, value for money, shirt. I will wear this with either jeans or shorts.

Although the material is good quality and a nice colour, it's too thick and coarse compared to other linen shirts I have. Nor does the material 'breathe' as well.

A beautifully made, quality linen shirt ptobably more suited to casual wear with denims or chimos or with a smart jacket and formal trousers. Feels good to wear and cool in warmer weather. Quality addition to any wardrobe at a very competitive price.

The shirt fits very well apart from at the waist. The description did say that is was tailored at the waist but I did not expect it to be as tight as it was. At present I cannot wear it but I will do soon!

It was described as a "New and improved fit", so I wonder what the original fit was like. The medium size was too tight across the chest and the large size was too big across the shoulders and in the arms, but still pulled across the chest when you raised your arms at all. I am usually a standard fit but this shirt was - sadly - a strange fit. But the material and colour are lovely.

Have bought linen shirts from M&S in the past and they are always generous in size and fabric unlike others, never had a problem although others complain about quality! The linen shirts wash well, withstand most wear and are reasonably priced, considering.

Unlike some reviewers I find the new fit is a genuine improvement on the baggy, shapeless shirts of the past.

I’ve been buying these linen shirts for many years. The new improved fit is not improved - it’s terrible. I bought 2 and had to return both of them. Even when they do fit, the stitching of the button holes is poor quality and after only a couple of wears starts to break apart.

Could be over price, good material.
