Pure Cotton Striped Shirt

Excellent value for money - pure cotton and cool to wear. The garment is well made and finished and looks good when worn. M and S need to get to grips with their sizing though. All their shirts are made overseas where, I suspect, men are not as overweight/overfed as in UK and, consequently the translation of sizes is lost; that said, I read all the reviews of the shirts and chose wisely !!

I am your typical 'Man at M & S', or at least I was. I took this shirt back because although I like the colour and material, the 'body block' is all wrong. My wardrobe is full of M & S shirts that I can't replace because they keep changing the style and the fit. This time it was the fit. The armpit holes are so low that you can't raise your arms without pulling the shirt out of your trousers, even when not tucked in it is uncomfortably tight (and no, it wasn't too small a size... and no, I haven't put weight on since my last purchase). The shape is entirely wrong when compared to any of my shirts older than a year or two. If you never lift your arms to wave to anyone and you walk around all day with your hands in your pockets then I guess this design would be fine for you. I have to say that I am disappointed as I would have really liked a wearable shirt in this colour.
