Western Denim Shirt

Love this shirt. Fitted which makes it flattering and the slightly puff sleeves make it feel feminine. Quality material and can’t wait to wear it when I go out to lunch tomorrow. Good choice M&S. Let’s have more discerning items like this and pay a little more for them.

I ordered this shirt as the design was different from the usual boxy kinds of denim shirts and jackets. I liked the idea of the gathering at the shoulders/tops of sleeves and the curved waist. However, this design turned out to be a negative for me as the top part of my body is relatively short and so the curve of the waist was too low and this showed in the form of a ‘hump’.

This ticks all the boxes on trend but versatile and classy .Can suit a range of tastes and ages I usually avoid denim unless jeans but like this shirt .

I love this shirt the puffed shoulders & fitted waist make it really feminine and the buttons just set it off. Wore it with jeans - denim on denim and had lots of compliments but will be lovely over a floral skirt or worn over a t shirt or vest top on a spring day or summer evening. Lovely material very comfortable and will be so versatile.

A western shirt should have yoke stitching in the back. Yoke stitching is essentially what makes a garment "western", pearl snap buttons being the second feature. As much as I need a new denim shirt, I don't think I can wear this. It simply won't go with the outfits I intended it for...and from behind, its not western in any way, shape or form - just a regular, boring denim shirt. Love the puffed sleeves, it's like an updated 'Kenny Rogers' or 'Karmen' 80's western blouse. However the laziness of the designer/manufacturer omitting the yoke is too big a deal for me. Sadly I'll have to keep looking, which is a shame because Western style clothing is so very hard to find in the UK, especially in plus sizing.

Excellent quality...quite thick material. A well fitted shirt. Perfect for Spring, or Summer (undone with a bright vest under) or in fact all year round. Lovely pearl button and rouche shoulder detail. Very happy with my new treat.

sizing on this is very small lovely shirt good material nice style, but came up too small maybe because of it being a semi-fitted shirt but I thought if I went up in size it would have been a bit shapeless so I sent it back unfortunately

This is a lovely fitting denim shirt... can also be used as a jacket over tops. Don't hesitate on buying you won't be disappointed!!! Well done M & S Keep up the good work.

Too tight across the bust and the shoulders made me look like a rugby player !
