Pure Cotton Gingham School Dress (2-14 Yrs)

Great quality and stylish. True to size and wash well

I usually buy the 100% cotton dresses, but this year the design has changed. The sleeves are puffy which my daughter really dislikes and there is a new tie around the waist that ties at the back. My daughter says this is uncomfortable when she sits on a chair as it digs in. The original design was much better.

Very disappointing. Material is difficult to iron and there is a weird gap at the waist below the button holes that I have had to pin.

Pleased with this in terms of quality, but we had to buy size 7-8 for our fairly petite 5.5 year old so do be aware they come up pretty small! (We usally go up one size in M&S but I'd say +2 sizes for these is not too much).

Bought for school. My daughter says they are comfortable and have kept her cool when it’s been hot.

Got a size 11 for a very slim 10 year old but it was a bit tight under the arms so wont be keeping. Disappointing as it is the only pure cotton one I've found.

Good quality, my daughter loves the bow at the back, it also has larger arms compared to other dresses, meaning that my daughter is not complaining of them being tight. Also, as this dress is made of 100% cotton, she can wear it all day without it becoming smelly!

My daughter, aged 6, chose this dress, in two shades of blue, as her favourite among several options, and it’s easy to see why. The pure cotton fabric is excellent quality, looks very smart on and my daughter says it's very comfortable. She’s been happily wearing it to school every day since we bought it. It washes well, irons easily, and the generously sized pockets are a big hit with her. Well done M&S!

I bought 2 of these summer dresses for my 9 year old. I love the fact that they tie up at the back so are essentially adjustable and can be pulled in around the waist. All the other summer dresses and playsuits we tried absolutely swamped her as she’s tall but very slim. These are perfect - well made, flattering and the lace detail is very subtle and lovely. Would definitely recommend!

I have bought this school dress every year for four years. It wears and washes well and my granddaughter loves the little details of the pockets, lace trim and flower buttons.

Fiddly and unnecessary bow on the back but as it's the only pure cotton one, no choice and, apart from the bow, it's excellent.
