Maternity Polka Dot Waisted Midi Dress

I bought this as I struggle to find maternity gear to fit me at 5' 9". It's a great dress, nice and long (mid-calf on me) and it has pockets! Proper pockets that you can actually fit things in! It would, like so many skirts and dresses, benefit from being lined, but for £20ish I'm not going to moan! I was a bit puzzled that other customers had bought this thinking it would fit them like a non-maternity dress - make no mistake, this dress has plenty of extra room for your bump, and is quite obviously cut for pregnant women! All I can add is a desperate plea for M&S to provide more maternity wear - there is a market for it, and the current range is disappointingly small.

So annoyed to have gone to collect this from my local store, only to find the dress has two thick white stripes running down either side. There's no mention of this in the product description, nor are the stripes shown in the solitary image. I now see that other reviewers have flagged the same issue. M&S - perhaps take note of the feedback and update the product description?!

Knew this was maternity but ordered 2 x sizes smallerhoping it would fit, still toobig. What a shame, love the style colour and fit ( apart from being very big around waist) Please M&S make this for non pregnant people. It would be so flattering and look great in my wardrobe.

Of course it is a maternity dress so I should have known better than to purchase it but as it is the same style as the animal print dress which fitted beautifully, I thought I might get away with it. No, it's quite a bit bigger so it didn't look right at all. Had to return it.

Love this style and tried this dress just in case it worked ....but it didn't sadly. Material was a lovely heavier matt than on other dresses and was super. Please do this one in same material again in non maternity style Markies !

Lovely quality dress, pretty sleeves and very stylish & classy for maternity wear, a little expensive but nice dress

Lovely dress. Ordered my normal size. Plenty of room for bump growth. Comfy yet smart which is hard to achieve when pregnant. Picture doesnt show it but it has a white stripe down the sides. Like it though gives it a modern feel.

This dress is great, it’s a similar style to other M&S midis, but with space for a bump. I love the white side stripes, which make it feel quite sport-luxe and on trend, so the polka dots aren’t too twee. I really wish M&S did more maternity styles!!

This images don't show it but this dress has white stripes on either side of it...like the other dresses here that are similar. It's a nice dress but I purchased this one as it didn't appear to have the stripes!
