Parka with Stormwear™

Having tropical moments, this jacket is a godsend. It keeps me warm when I am just wearing a t-shirt but also breathes so I don’t sweat to death. It is a bit large on me but I am top heavy so I always go up a size. This was a great purchase on sale but I would buy it again at the full price. Only complaint would be the hood is very large but very warm.

I ordered the size 16 in this coat as it is my usual size. However it came up quite big and flared out a bit at the bottom so I have returned it but bought a size 14 which fits well. It has a lovely half fleece, half silky padded lining which, for me was better than the faux fur lined version which was way too warm. Excellent for winter walking, with or without dogs!

I was pleased with this coat as I have short arms and the arm size is just right for me. I also have a small head and I did find ( as I always do) that the hood was too big, it might be ok if I put a bobble hat on underneath and roll it up a bit.

I needed a warm, waterproof coat with a hood, to wear when walking my two lively Springers, everyday in winter (holding an umbrella is hopeless when holding two leads). I read the coat was on the small side so ordered a larger size(I could fit an extra layer under if needed to). I have worn the coat which fits nicely, and is lovely and light and warm. (I find clothes can start feeling a bit rigid and achey when wearing a few layers). I don't think that this wil be the case with this coat. I thought I would miss the side handwarmer pockets but I'm fine with just the two front ones and I really couldn't thoil more than twice the price for a similiarly styled coat I had liked for just two more pockets. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I love this parka it's so warm and comfy to wear. Sizing is great but only gave 4 stars as hood much to big otherwise great buy.

Love the style of the coat and the warm lining. Only drawback is the oversize hood

Lovely warm winter coat. Longer length so keeps hips warm. Two way zip so can unzip from the bottom when sitting in car/train. Part fleece part quilted lining. Relaxed fit so can get a jumper underneath. Looking forward to getting my wear out of it this winter.

I was put off this coat initially by the photograph on the M&S website, which shows a woman in a cotton dress, with what appear to be bare legs. I've no objections to cotton dresses and bare legs, but at a casual glance, it made the coat look as if it was a lightweight cotton summer parka, and since I was looking for a winter jacket, I assumed it wouldn't be suitable. (It's incredible how often M&S manage to make their clothes look either unattractive or just plain WRONG. Haven't they heard of stylists?) In fact, this jacket is incredibly warm, and has a fleecy lining. It's quite thick, but doesn't look too bulky because it's reasonably long. I thought it was a nice coat, and good value, but unfortunately, I had to return mine because the size 16 was too big and the size 14 was too small. Some of the reviews I read warned that the jacket came up a bit small, and this proved to be correct. However, I couldn't understand why people didn't like the pockets - they seemed fine to me.
