Dart Detail Mini Fit & Flare Dress

I loved this dress when I saw it I thought this is exactly what I have been looking for. I tried the dress on in my usual size, the shoulders where huge and it kept fluffing up at the back. The bodice finished quite short so flared a little high for me again, making it bigger round my tummy. I thought I would try a smaller size but unfortunately the dress was sold out. I love the dress style and colour so much that I am going to have it tailored to fit.

Superb colour and material of good quality. So many dresses from M&S these days, really dull, so good to see a dress that was really vibrant. Very sadly let down by fit of the dress. Sleeves far too long, several cms too long. Body of dress did not sit properly. Although the dress was smooth over the hips there appeared to be too much material on the upper body. Was so taken with the colour and style almost tempted to take to a dress maker for alteration, but with sensible hat on, that really isn't the solution. What has happened to M&S fitting. So many clothing items do not sit properly, as they used to. Very disappointed as purchased whilst the 50% off discount was in place, so this could have been a really excellent purchase.

I love the look and design of this dress as I thought it would be very flattering but unfortunately I am a bit longer than standard in the upper body so the waistline of this dress sat too high on me and was instead very unflattering as the waistline sat up towards my bust. If it had come in a Tall Fit then the upper body length might've been in better proportion. But overall it is a lovely dress and the fabric was good and it would've been both a good dress for going out for a meal in or wearing to work.

Style and fit ok but quality disappointing

Described as a mini and as 98 cm long. Hoped it would be 98 cm (knee length) but it is 92 cm (mini).

Loved this dress, lovely fabric very well made, just too short! Had to send it back as well above my knees, so disappointed! Wish you would make it in different lengths, just the style I’ve been looking for.

This dress is a great quality and value for money. The style is a classic cut and really flattering. Very easy to dress up or down

Love the colour & the dress fits well (I'm short but old enough need it knee-length). It looks smart but not fussy or over-dressed.

What a shame - this just missed the mark. The sleeves were far too long and the pleated skirt started to high up so it made me at 5’3” look very dumpy! Neck line would have been more elegant if it had been cut lower. Gorgeous colour and good quality material though.
