i found the shoes uncomfortable

I received these as a gift for a new job I have recently started. After wearing them for no more than 3 days, the upper has started to seperate from the sole. Very disappointed, as the aesthetics of the shoe is brilliant. I recommend staying away from these, and looking towards an alternative.

The design is fine, but it is disappointing that as the leather is firm and it creases after only two or three wears and loses it new shoe look too quickly.

The catalogue listing stated leather shoe with no mention of the thick rubber soles that are on these shoes. Also there was no mention of origin. After unpacking I could tell straight away they were made in India so no surprise or shock when I read the label that stated made in India. The only shock was that M&S supplied such poor quality as the quality they have supplied for all of their goods has always been known to be of superior quality. Sorry M&S but after using yourselves for nearly everything I have bought in the past, it looks to me that I probably will not be using you for much longer.

Lovely design shoe, soft leather and very comfortable fit

When I saw these shoes in the shop I thought they were nicely styled and a good fit for my feet. However, after wearing them for the first time they became very loose. I noticed that unlike most shoes without laces, they did not feature any elastic retainers to keep the shoe close fitting around ones in-step whilst walking. It seemed to me that the leather 'tongue' on the top of the shoes had stretched as I walked so that they no longer kept the shoes firmly in place, making it them feel loose and floppy. A very disappointing purchase.

Ordered 2 pairs of these shoes and they are fabulous. Have the elegance of a much more expensive brand and are very comfortable. Cannot recommend enough.
