Leather Belted Midi Shirt Dress

I brought my usual M&S size (22). It's quite roomy on me and I will try a few more outfit combinations before deciding whether to size down for a more tailored fit. I hung on for a Sparks discount as it's a lot of money (to me) but fair when I compare it to other places. Although I've wanted a leather dress for a while I had a very different/formal style in mind. Shirt dresses are not my first choice as I'm bigger in the stomach/hips than the bust, but the appeal of this was that it's a dress, a coat or a layering piece and as I have a few dresses with fluted sleeves, I can layer these short (but generous) leather sleeves on top without crushing. It's not obvious in the photos but these sleeves flair out slightly. There are side pockets near the side seam. Not deep and robustly lined like coat ones but still a nice addition (unless you're aiming for a snug fit). Note: it's lined apart from the last six inches at the bottom which is raw cut.

Beautiful supple leather, well cut, can be dressed up or down.

Oh, the leather is so soft and the belt enhances your waist very nicely. Totally worth the price! Is a piece that will never go out of fashion!

Bought this as a gift for myself as a Xmas treat . Perfect fit for my size, great length and adaptable . Can be worn with or without belt, layered or worn open as a coat. Leather is soft and supple . Feel I’ll have this for years to come, a great investment buy.

On the plus side this will be a stylish, useful addition to my wardrobe but not as a dress but as a coat. On the minus side I luckily hate wearing belts as the dress is very short waisted (it is more like an empire line on me).

Beautiful Soft Leather Belted Midi Shirt Dress Fits Perfectly Well and My Girlfriend Loves Her Dress

I ordered this dress after a deliberation of about 5 minutes. I am so glad that I did. The dress arrived today, The beautiful soft leather dress fits well ,not too tight, I will wear a T-shirt or light jumper underneath. As the dress unbuttons the full length it can be worn as a short sleeved coat open or closed. The only thing that I would change in the design would to have long cuffed sleeves so I would be able to wear shirts underneath. I know this is a considered purchase but this is my Christmas present to myself, and I love quality over quantity, and this is an item I will wear and enjoy for years. Thank you M&S, please stick with quality items over disposable tat.
