The Poppy Collection® Large Resin Poppy Brooch

I must be the only person completely underwhelmed by this. It’s a dull red, smaller than expected and to add insult to injury arrived broken. Even if was whole I wouldn’t recommend it for the price. Only redeeming factor is donation money.

I always buy a M&S poppy at this time of year - this is perfect. The picture On-line doesn’t give it justice. Beautiful item.

I'm always loosing the paper poppy brooch that I buy each year so I thought I would buy a more durable one this year and I am very pleased with it. Although I won't need to buy another poppy brooch, I will obviously continue to put money into the tins of the poppy sellers each year as it is for such a good cause!

Very pleased with this brooch. I like large modern styles and this just fits the bill.

I purchase a poppy brooch, pin, or fob every year, and have quite a collection. They are worn not only in the month leading up to 11/11. This one is singularly redolent of some distant memory I cannot quite discern. Petals are in two layers of resin mounted on metal backing, but even that is chamfered. It certainly looks durable, the pin with a safety catch is sturdy, as the brooch is weighty, and may require to be supported by a ribbon, which I use when wearing heavier brooches as backing for lighter materials. Each part of the lower petals has a hook, so that the brooch could be hung from a chain or cord to be worn as a pendent. Each oval petal is shaped from two halves with darker lines running at right angle on crimson slightly iridescent resin. I guess the design is deco - whoever devised this has my admiration.

I purchase M&S poppy every year. I am never disappointed. Yet another beautiful poppy to add to my collection
