High Waisted Straight Leg Selvedge Jeans

I ordered my usual size 10 and went for the short length (a mistake, at 5’3” I should have had regular). I got them on, but yes, these definitely come up small and were, shall we say, unflatteringly tight around the top. Meanwhile the legs were a bit flappy, a jeans style I haven’t worn since the late eighties. I might be tempted to persist and try the 12 as the material is a good thick denim and properly cream not white, and the selvedge detail is very attractive. They aren’t cheap though!

Needed some cream jeans and these seemed to fit the bill. I ordered a size 16 as my size 14 jeans that I am currently wearing are slightly snug. However sadly I could not even button these up !

.....so much. Alas! Although they fitted well over my bottom and the 8S was perfect for my 5 foot 3 height, the legs were HUGE! Wide like something from the eighties. Fabric is stiff like proper denim which is fine and I loved the turn ups. I fleetingly thought about taking them to a tailor to have taken in as I like everything except the wide legs but that would almost double the price of them. I also ordered indigo as well as ecru but didn’t even bother trying these on. Such a shame.

I always pyrchase M and S trousers and my current purchase is as usual brilliant.

I bought these but to get good fit on tummy meant baggy on my legs. So if you have a cutie pot belly these probably will be an odd fit. Flat tummy - I’d imagine they are lovely.

I thought these would be a great addition to my spring/ summer wardrobe. Unfortunately they were awful on me. Nothing wrong with fabric, although a bit heavy, but it was the lack of stretch. I had to send them back. They seemed to be so badly designed and very expensive as well so not worth buying.

Fabulous jeans, true ecru colour, tiny bit of stretch but very comfortable and flattering. The fabric is soft but not see-through and fine to wear all day! I’m between 12&14 the 14 didn’t hug my waist so took the 12 which fits perfectly high waisted with classic straight leg. I’m 5’9 and got the long and turned up to just above the ankle bone. Looks good with the cream loafers. The only downside is the price, I do think £10 less would be about right.

Worn twice and they’re extremely comfortable. In the past I’ve found I’m the wrong shape for M&S but these jeans are perfect. I’m a regular size 8 and these high waist (properly high waist!) are just right and the fabric is a good weight which is essential for pale coloured jeans.

Just bought these online and they are a perfect fit, the quality is superb and worth every penny. Please, please, may we have them in other colours ? For the first time ever, I could have worn these immediately - no alterations necessary. Thank you M&S.

I read all the reviews, and quite correctly purchased the short length for my 5ft4" ht. Good quality thick fabric. Perfect for chilly Spring/Summer days and also through the Autumn/Winter with cosy dark jumpers. More of these please M&S in more colours.
