Gingham Bodycon Dress

Neckline too high. It just about choked me. Waistline too high. Not for short people. A petite version would have been good.

This is a smart, fitted dress. I like the style of it with the short sleeves, I also like the small checked top and the plain black bottom of the dress. It is fully lined.and comfortable to wear. I NEVER wear black but because of the patterned top of the dress, it appealed to me. It could be dressed up with bright accessories, or matched with black or white shoes.. In my case I bought it to attend a funeral.

Ordered this dress online. I am a big size 10 heading for a 12. Dress is way too big and too long. The gingham material is cheap and nasty. I also ordered the matching jacket which is not lined and looks limp. Very disappointed. Why don’t M&S go for quality. I’d pay a bit more for something classic which would last. Up your game womenswear buyers!

I bought this dress for work and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent fit and quality. It looks really smart and is my new favourite work dress would love to see more of this lovely style.

I have quite a few dresses in this style as M&S tend to bring out similar styles in them each season, and I'm so glad that they do! They wash up lovely and always maintain their shape. They also look amazing too!

This dress isn't really a bodycon style, it's a shift dress. Large sizing and so long it makes it look frumpy. I'm a small size 10 and 5"7'. That said it's nice and smart for work, so I've decided to keep it and shorten it by 4". Bought the matching jacket as well which is fine but also a bit on the big side, going to take it in a bit.

So pleased to see a simple style dress that has a MATCHING jacket. Very sleek, flattering and slimming.. Surprisingly well made too. I now have a lovely dress jacket for lots of occasions. Well done M & S and it would be great to see more simply styled garments instead of all the inserts, fancy seams, zips, twists, ties, etc etc. Remember KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid - can never go wrong.
