Modern Tote Bag

The bag is lovely and big BUT the handles are not long enough to carry on shoulder - could do with extendable handles

Firstly ordered this bag in the grey, lovely colour, purchased on line which was a mistake, it arrived with several very obvious marks on the front, returned to store and replaced.

I bought the grey/pink combination and I think it's a lovely spring/summer smart work bag. I'm not sure about the 'laptop compartment' though - I could only squeeze my Surface Pro 6 in (12.3" screen) so it's best for tablets I'd say. Another issue with the laptop section is the bare zips which scrape on your device every time you put it in or out - all the other laptop totes I've seen have had the lining arranged in such a way that the zips are protected. But otherwise, it's nice.

I had previously bought this bag in black and loved its design and particularly its soft quality material, called faux leather. It was so beautiful, comfortable and easy to use that I looked forward to getting another. if possible. I found on M&S website this bag in a neutral colour and ordered it for collection. When I unpacked the bag I saw that the material used for this one is completely different from my black one and was also more rigid. The opening gusset seams are bent inside the lining, which meant that on the outside bumps and bends show, particularly on a side view. I am a little dissapointed with this bag, as the colour scheme is pretty.with a pink lining, However, I am putting pegs onto the side seams when I'm not using the bag in the hope that these seams will straighten in time and with use and make this bag as pretty as it is in black.

This is a great size bag, I use it for work and can fit loads in it including my lunch and a water bottle. Its a good stylish bag with 3 different large sections one of which is zipped, it also has a small pocket in one section and a zipped pocket in another. The different sections have made it easy to find things. The material it is made of feels as though it will last well and it's vegan! I feel it's a bit overpriced but I had a £5 off code which made it worth it.

Overall very pleased with bag. Could maybe have been cheaper. Like many things, if it’s what you want you sometimes have to pay more.

Jury is out there whether this bag is worth £45 - I got it for 20% off which made it absolutely worth it. This is the first faux leather bag I've bought and so far I'm quite happy with it. It's exactly right for my purpose - big enough yet not very big, has three compartments which make it easy to organise stuff and I don't have to worry about it getting wet in the rains we are getting right now. A couple of seasons ago Reiss had a similar bag however that bag has a funny A-line shape and is quite stiff - this one is a slimmer improved version of that. I'm guessing because of the price point this bag will end up in the sales. Which is a shame because this is an ideal work bag.

Normally never buy bags that are not leather, but write up good so gave it a try and it is certainly the best alternative to leather I have seen, thrilled with it.

I ordered this bag online as it wasn’t in my local store. It was exactly the size and colour I wanted, but unfortunately there is a kink in the structure which will not flatten out. I will be returning it this week.
