I wanted a slip on wide fit pair of shoes with a smooth sole. This is what I got, yes I did have them resoled with suede so I could use them for dancing. Overall they fit great & do the job I wanted.

I wanted a reasonably priced pair of slip-on shoes for wearing around the house. One M&S pair had a smoother sole but the toe was likely to damage easily. I then chose a similar pair with a welt that should protect the toe. The only surprising thing about both pairs was sizing. Even though they were described as “wide fit”, the toe pinched slightly as I feel it narrowed in far too much. I would normally wear a size 10, but for comfort I went up one size.
