SUPER SALADS FOR SUMMER

Try our delicious ideas for quick and simple salads that are perfect for lunches, light suppers and picnics in the park

Longer, hotter days call for lighter, fresher meals. Simply start with a bag of salad leaves, add protein and tasty toppings, then finish with a dressing. For a new take on a Caesar salad, arrange romaine lettuce leaves on a plate, top with tinned sardines, soft-boiled eggs, parmesan shavings and a drizzle of our creamy Caesar dressing, and serve with Italian flatbread. Or try topping spinach with flaked tinned mackerel, chopped pickled beetroot, cocktail cornichons, a drizzle of our cucumber and mint dressing and toasted hazelnuts. Love a ploughman’s sarnie? Mix chopped apples, celery and radishes with watercress. Crumble over cheddar cheese, then serve with our crunchy cheese crispies and ploughman’s chutney.
