The bell-bottoms and platform shoes of the disco decade may be a distant memory, but there’s one Seventies invention that’s stood the test of time: the M&S chicken kiev. Launched in 1979 (the same year as our first Irish store opening), it became an instant bestseller and has remained one of our most popular dishes. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of this moreish dinner party favourite, we’ve launched Our Best Ever chicken kiev. This made-for-two version includes tender chicken breast filled with an oozy butter, flavoured with both chopped garlic and fragrant wild garlic. And it’s all coated in a golden, crisp sourdough crumb. Pick one up in store and simply serve with lemon-dressed greens: as irresistible now as it was 40 years ago.
