We’ve made sustainable strides with our men’s knitwear and kids’ outerwear this season. Give him the gift of cosiness with a super-soft striped crew neck, classic cable knit, on-trend half-zip style or a timeless ribbed knit made with recycled nylon and polyester. For kids, how about a gift that promises outdoor fun on crisp winter days? Our drizzle-beating padded jackets are filled with recycled wadding, while our half-zip fleeces for boys and girls are made with recycled polyester.

Green(er) cards, wrap and decorations
Sending cards and thoughtful gifts will ensure friends and family know you’re thinking of them even if you can’t be together in person. This year we’ve created a sustainably stylish range of Christmas cards, crackers and gift wrap – Christmas crackers containing recyclable or reusable gifts, fully recyclable wrapping paper and, by rethinking our packaging, we’ve reduced the amount of plastic used by 3.7 tonnes. Make your tree greener with LED lights that use less power and shatterproof baubles made from recycled plastic that will survive the inevitable knocks and bumps from kids and pets. Packaging designed for storage will keep decorations safe between Christmases for years to come.
Have a merry (veggie) Christmas
Our new Plant Kitchen vegan festive wreath, made with roasted mushrooms and chestnuts then topped with a sticky cranberry glaze, makes an impressive – and delicious – festive centrepiece. Trimmings include Plant Kitchen no-chorizo pigs in duvets – moreish vegan chorizo sausages wrapped in golden vegan pastry. All that’s left to add is a rich gravy (if you’re going ready-made, try the Plant Kitchen vegan gravy – it’s a winner) and plenty of veg. You’ll find vegan prepped veg in your local store, from cauliflower cheese to dauphinoise potatoes. And to drink? M&S is working towards making all our wines vegan by 2021, and many already are – try our rich and fruity Classics claret.
