Boys' Regular Leg Pleat Front School Shorts (2-14 Yrs)

Bought these for my daughter in age 12-13 - she is a tall age 10 and has a sporty build and not slim leg - which all the girls trousers and shorts seem to come in. These are a good fit for her!

These shorts look nice but they have a horrible rough material all the way along the inside of the waist band. I’ve washed the shorts to see if that helps but still no better. If I could find different shorts in this size (age 13-14 school shorts not easy to find) then I would return these.

Bought for Autumn term. Normally get a supermarket brand cargo shorts but thought it would be good to change a bit. These are quite large, but that's fine as waist adjustable, but odd thing is that they are so wide and long. My son will grow into them, but they do look a bit 1930s? Anyway, we are keeping them but I would recommend for tall boys.

Always buy school uniform from M&S. Great quality shorts and great fit around the waist but for a regular fit style shorts the legs are very wide. Opted for the equivalent shorts in a slim fit which I’m very happy with.

I've tried other brands (mostly supermarket) but they never compare to good old M & S. It's worth paying a little extra for the sizing, material and quality. These shorts come up trump's, I've got a skinny malinky laddie only criticism is sizing is bigger. But......The waist decreasers (whatever they're called) sort that all out. A must buy!!

I've been fed up with school shorts for boys which don't actually have an opening / fastening at the front. It's become painful to get them on, even for the right age range. These shorts are great - the quality feels great. They have a front hook and eye, with zip fastening which makes it really easy to get on and off when you have a boy who is stocky. They came up quite big, but with the adjusters at the waist you can easily take them in so they fit and he can grow in to them over the next 12 months.

Have bought M&S pleat front regular shorts every year for my son. Unlike M&S school trousers they don't keep their pleats in for more than two to three washes as they don't appear to have "supercrease" - I have found this has always been the case however, this year within two weeks of wear the hem has come down on 2 out of 3 pairs: this has never happened with any of the 20 or so pairs I've purchased in the past. So usually a good buy with the 20% off offer but not if you then have to repair the hems within a couple of weeks. Planning to return the other two pairs I had bought ready for next year and try another retailer.

I’ve bought 2 different sizes and two different styles of these shorts they are good quality but massive around the waist. My son is a slim, 5 year old but I think I would have had to buy 2-3years so I gave up. Bit disappointed

Bought for my grandson, but had to return as they were too big. Should have bought the slim leg, which I have now re-ordered.

I bought my son one pair of these shorts from a store, then used the product code to make sure that I ordered 3 more sets of supposedly the same item online. Yet when they arrived, the material used feels cheaper and definitely not the same as the pair I bought in store. There was an extra internal (though unnecessary) pocket on the pair I bought in store, so certainly not the same identical product, though the code is the same. The products were made in different places when I checked the label, so maybe that explains the change in material used? Disappointed - if the product has changed, please use a new code and don't claim to be the same item!
