Great trousers BUT why not in a SLIM waist option

Hi I buy these in charcoal (not as many options in charcoal) love the trouser except that although M&S offer larger waists they don’t cater for slimmer boys - I always have to pull in elastic full on both sides for both my boys, one is petite but the other is a regular size I’d say, so waists are just too generous! They don’t look as good pulled in fully.

I bought these for my son last year and we were both very happy with them so I bought more again for this school year. Great quality, colour and style. Washed very well; after many many washes throughout the whole school year they still look as new, didn’t need ironing and the crease remained in tact without pressing. They can be brought in at the waist with buttons and elastic which is perfect for my son who is slim. Also, another fantastic feature is that the bottoms have tack stitching which is designed to be unpicked and an additional 3cm of length gained, so I got over one school year out of them. Fantastic! A bit more pricey than supermarket options but I think they’re totally worth it - especially as they lasted way longer than cheaper options.

The style suited my 12 year old well. He’s quite tall, so a size up (13-14) was a great fit. Adjustable at the waist still and I love the drop hem, as it won’t be too long before I need to do that - he’s shooting up in height.

One already torn, unlikely to last the whole year.

Good fit, good quality

Having a kid who thinks nothing of doing knee slides in puddles of mud, I wanted good quality trousers that would stand up to a shed load of abuse. These fit the bill, he’s tall but slim so the adjustable waist is a must. They are comfortable for him (anything ‘scratchy’ is an immediate ’no’) and I’m happy with the quality.

Slim fit school trousers , adjustable waist is great it means they will last and will fit for a while perfect for school, they fit perfectly and great length. I bought these for my grandchildren they love them, excellent material heavy duty, they wash very well, very pleased with this purchase and will definitely buy them again, great length and fit, colour perfect for school, hard-wearing and very stylish slim fit, great for winter as the material is very thick, my grandsons love them, easy to iron, and they have not faded in the wash. Great value for money. They look very smart and they are great quality i would recommend them to everyone. I bought a pack of black and a pack of grey, they come in.packs of 2 which is great 2 packs last a week

Poor quality, looks bad after one wash. I don't have the tags anymore. Does M&S accept refunds on basis of poor quality? The 3 pack one was good quality, I would rather buy one more of that even though I need only 5 for the week.

Undoubtedly hard-wearing but stiff and sweaty

I've only ever bought second hand school uniform until now but thought I would treat my child to some new trousers for starting secondary school. I hadn't appreciated how stiff and restrictive new trousers would be, particularly these which have a weatherproof coating. My child reported them as being really unpleasant and sweaty to wear initially, although the trousers seem to have loosened up after a few washes. Hoping they will become nicer to wear one they're broken in. At least they'll be durable enough to pass on when my child has grown out of them.

Rough material

Slim fit ang great colour retention but the material is really rough. You can tell it's not a natural material like cotton , or even cotton blend
