3/4 Sleeve Shell Top

If you want a top that doesn't crease and is quite flattering to wear then this is the one for you. The material hangs nicely and the style is quite slimming to wear. Although it is a little dull in design, it is a useful addition to the wardrobe and can be jazzed up with a bright necklace/bracelet.

Quite a useful top that would look good with jeans. However, I prefer a very dark navy and this was what I would call a lighter navy, so for that reason I am returning it. On the plus side, the fit was very good and I don't think this top would need ironing or crease much.

Love this top, lovely fabric, doesn't crease easily, bought size 16 and the fit is perfect. I'd love to see other colours in this and I would definitely buy.

I like plain classic type clothing, and this fits the bill. It is a very lightweight top and can be either dressed up or down and I think it will be a handy item to have in my wardrobe .

I have sent for a few navy tops like this one, to go with a specific pair of M&S trousers, but none of them have been quite right. I find that this year’s tops are quite short and too wide and square in shape. The neckline on this one is also a bit wide. A shame, as it looked very nice online and the material and colour are good. I have returned.

I love this top. Lovely cut and perfect length. Navy good for Spring and cooler summer days. Looks great with cropped jeans and denim skirts as well as linen trousers. Fabric hangs well and is very light. A cotton mix fabric would have been even better and would have got the full compliment of 5 stars!

If you are wanting a plain summer top to wear with a favourite necklace, this is it. Just what I was seeking, not clingy, crease resisting. It isn't necessary to undo the button at the back, it could have been sewn up but M & S have added the button in case you have a particularly large hairstyle or you've donned your hat before your top (but you wouldn't, would you). I am between 14 and 16 and purchased the 14 which pulls a little across the bust so I have ordered the 16, as I appreciate a boxy shape if not too long.

As you can see from my ratings I liked this top and, apart from being slightly too long, was just what I had been looking for EXCEPT at the back there is a button which has to go through a loop. That would be bad enough but it is on the INSIDE of the top. I found it absolutely impossible to do this up - not only was its placement ridiculous but I couldn't even do it up after I took it off as the loop was miniscule. All-in-all a garment ruined by over-elaborate and unnecessary detail and poor quality control - just putting the button on the outside and ensuring the loop was large enough to put it through would have made this a much better garment - and I wouldn't have had to return it.

This shell top is loose fitting and comfortable.to wear. Made of polyester so it should be easy to launder. Not too shaped but has a pleasing line and looks smart.

Very disappointed in the material, very flimsy, more like a blouse than a sweatshirt.
