Finally a shoe that supports my back and feet!
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a huge Launch fan, but after having back surgery, I needed better support. The Hyperion Max 3 shoes are AMAZING!! I love the snug hug around my ankle. Helps stabilize each step. The shoe itself is made with a very breathable fabric. The heel support/cushion is unmatched. The rock motion with each step absorbs the shock when I step. The shoe is lightweight. I am on my feet a lot at work (hospital) and these shoes carry me through the day with no foot or back pain. The price is steep, but the shoe is my new favorite.

Too tight

I want to give these 5 stars but they are so tight! 😭 I have the same size and width in the glycerin max shoes which fit great, but not these unfortunately.

less than enthusiastic

personally I'm not loving this sneaker. they connect the tongue of the sneaker to the sides, and my foot has a very high arch, so it is uncomfortable and tight around the circumference (although lengthwise it fits fine). I had a previous version but I'm not a fan of the new changes, so I will not be buying these again.

Recommend shoe. Order half size down

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically wear a 10 in Ghosts, but am wearing a 9.5 in these shoes. Took 5-10 runs to get used to these shoes but then wore them for two marathons and loved it. Feet felt better after the run, recovered fast. Highly recommend.

As a nurse who's always on my feet, I love the cushion and support it gives. I wish I had ordered 5.5 to give room for thicker socks.

Awesome shoes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the bouncy feeling! Good support. And absolutely love the fiery coral color. I did not know the color would appear like neon in the daylight. So pretty. I love these shoes!

Will be wearing for my first ever marathon. Training run review: pros: -cute color and quality material that’s breathable and LOOKs fast -energy return is AMAZING every step my legs were encouraged to lengthen stride -gives me good height ~1.5” -roll of the toe very smooth and helps propel my knee forward -lighter than my hoka bondi (-20g/ea) -lighter than my saucony (-23g/ea) cons: -needs more cushion at ball of foot -width fit is too snug runners feet swell when they run -pretty bad for trail runs has no traction with ground or things get caught in that arch slot -uneven on the sides and can cause ankle instability

I LOVE Brooks shoes. I have two pair that I wear religiously (glycerin GTS 21's and Glycerin 22's) and both were purchased in February 2025. Both pair still wear like a brand new pair of shoes. I bought the hyperion Maxes for an upcoming trip to Disney World and I wore them for 6 hours on one day, and absolutely hated them. They felt too tight across the tops of my feet, and the cushion was entirely too rigid for my feet. After returning them, I did end up going to a local store called Fleet Feet and having my feet tested and turns out, they just had way too much cushion for my heel/arch/foot and walking pattern. Will be repurchasing another pair of glycerin 21's or 22's.

Best running shoe ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Second pair and I love these shoes! I don’t have the best feet, I have had a broken calcaneus and calf length which basically means the cut the calf. These are cushioned in a good way that absorbs impact but not melt away. These shoes afford me to run a 5k and a 10k in a week without the bones getting wrecked. They are stable, you don’t have to workout your ankles. The plate assist but does take over and it is not over snappy.

My do it all long run shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn’t think I could love another shoe more than the Hyperion Max 2, and then the 3 came along! This shoe has a great bounce and my legs feel fresh afterwards. This has become my long run shoe as it can handle easy paces and steady efforts just as well. One could argue it could also work as a marathon shoe.

Speed and comfort

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great for speed and return power. The shoe will make you taller so be careful on walks. Other than that it is race ready

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m already eager for another pair of Brooks shoes! Initially, I was hesitant about the new Hyperion Max 3s because they felt higher and more cushioned than my longtime favorite, the Hyperion Max, which I’ve relied on for years during long runs. However, after just a couple of runs, I was hooked! I’ve logged four runs of over 10 miles in the Hyperion Max 3s, and they’ve quickly become my go-to choice for the Miami Marathon 2026. For comparison, I also tested the Adrenaline GTS and Ghost models, but the Hyperion Max 3 are the chosen ones. No chin splints, no toes discomfort, and the built material around the top of the foot makes gives you stability. I would recommend wearing a good pair of running socks, nothing bulky. Loving them 🧡 #BrooksRunning

Loving the Hyperion Max 3

I also enjoy them quite a bit for long runs, and speed work. The cushion and responsiveness is great, definitely one of my favorite shoes currently. Also the sock like upper, and gel padding on the tongue are great!

Built for Speed, Not for Strolling
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hyperion Max 3 is a near-perfect fit and gives great leverage for maintaining or even increasing your pace. It’s definitely built for speed. You can feel how light and responsive it is the moment you start running. The shoe has a ton of bounce, which makes it feel fast and energetic, especially on straight paths. That said, it’s not ideal for walking or casual wear. The design and cushioning are clearly optimized for running performance, not comfort at slower paces. Because of the extra bounce, your balance can feel a little off if you hit an uneven surface or even a slight curb. Overall, the Hyperion Max 3 is a fantastic choice for runners looking for a fast, lightweight shoe that helps hold pace. Just keep it on the road or track where it shines best.

I wanted to love these and I will say that it is a really cool and FAST shoe! Hyperion and Ghosts have been my go-to shoes for 10+ years. These are WAY too tight for my feet. My feet are average and aren't too wide or narrow. I wear a size 8 and think maybe I should have sized up to an 8.5 or 9? Putting them on was difficult and my toes were super jammed and bruised post (12 mile) long run. I recommend these if you have narrow feet or size up. I unfortunately returned these, but Brooks is still my number one running shoe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start by saying that I've been a brooks fan for a long time. Although, I must admit that I've been running on HOKA's Cielo x1 (race day) and the Mach x 2 (training) for the past year. I was shopping around for a new pair and wanted to give these a try. They "kinda" look the same. Both are high stack shoes with a midsole cut; forefoot rocker and carbon fiber plate, in Brooks case - a nylon speedvault propulsion plate. The added bonus on several reviews I've read was the Hyperion Max 3 is a more durable and suitable trainer for long runs. It called out to me. I love the shoe, it lines me just right from my foot going up my body. It gives me a sense of stability and protection (even for high stack shoe) on either a fast or moderate pace . The one draw for me is they don't feel as cushioned. My legs feel as if took a beating after long runs.

Super Speedy and Strong!

These shoes are truly magical! I have been wearing them for all my speed work runs the last several weeks and they make running faster feel SO MUCH easier! I haven’t worn them for a long run yet but I plan to this weekend as well as for my half marathon at the end of October. These shoes are comfortable, feel bouncy and help make me feel SO strong as a runner. I will definitely be buying another pair of these soon!
