Ghost 17 Running Trainers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are so good for my neutral/flat feet. This is the second pair I’ve owned and I feel like they are so versatile. I usually break up my long runs into trail and road, and these do great with either. I feel well supported in these shoes and recommend them to friends/clients.

I’ve had at least six pairs of Ghosts over the years and it was heartbreaking pulling these 17’s out of the box and trying them on today. The insides around the ankle are rigid and scratchy compared to my two current ones in my closet. Every pair have always been like pulling on house slippers. These 17’s feel like they’re made of cardboard. I’m returning them.

I love the look of these shoes. I have the maroon pair. My biggest complaint is they do y have much grip. If you step in any water it makes so many services slippery.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ghost isn't even the Ghost anymore. It used to be a great shoe. The decline started with the 16 and that stiff ankle. With a blow dryer and a hammer I was able to make it wearable for work but not for walks. I tried the 17 and it was even worse. The hammer and blow dryer did nothing. It is hard as a rock and very painful. Plus they changed the drop from 12mm to 10mm. Why??? Stop dramatically changing a great shoe so much that it is an entirely different (and much worse) shoe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These aren’t the worst, but they’re very different from the 16s. My heel is slipping and there seems to be more height/ cushion- so much so that I keep checking to see if I accidentally bought the max. Sadly returning.

As a busy mom my miles are less, but chasing my kids and getting the to the soccer field has increased. These are my first pair of Ghosts... and they are like running on a cloud!! Highly Highly recommend!

I have only wore the shoes a few times. They are ok and I'm hoping I will like them more as time goes by. I loved Brooks Ghost for many years until Ghast 16. I did not like Ghost 16 at all. I tried switching brands and did not like them. So I'm back trying Ghost as I have worn them for about 15 years. One big complaint about Ghost 17 is that the shoe strings are too short to comfortably double tie them. I race a lot and the last thing I need is to have to stop and tie my shoes. Come on Brooks, make the shoe strings long enough to double tie. That is a basic for any running shoe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a perfect fit and for me, that's saying a lot. I have bunions, wide feet. Really problematic. And I can walk in these for hours with no problem. I'm going to order a second pair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love them!! Super comfy! They did give me big blisters on my inner heel, but thick socks help! The blisters I could care less, as long as my feet and knees aren’t hurting! Brooks has always been my run shoe, but I sure wish they would make narrow options! I have to lace them up almost closed, but the shoe is worth it!! I have tried many other brands and I always go back to brooks!
