Firm Control High Waisted Girdle

Having lived in jeans and tops for years trying to hide my tummy this has smoothed me out no end and I now look forward to wearing a frock should we finally get a summer.

I am a breast cancer survivor and had Diep Flap reconstruction surgery two weeks ago (those with BC will know) it's a major op. Seven days after surgery I used the girdle I'm a size 14-16 and bought size 31-32. It is a squeeze to put on which I was concerned about but on my follow up appointment I was assured the girdle was perfect, tight is good to aid recovery, I was asked where I purchased the girdle so they can pass info on to other patients. This girdle would be excellent to wear after all abdominal surgery e.g. hysterectomy etc (on advice). Just to add it is uncomfortable wearing this as you are recommended to wear day and night (so buy more than one) but no pain no gain. I also bought a bra from M&S which is excellent to wear after a mastectomy (or any breast surgery) which my consultant said was the best he had seen and also asked where I got it from. It is actually a maternity bra but it's ideal to wear in hospital as it is very soft, no wire, can cover many back sizes and many cup sizes, so you don't have to guess your size or get measured. Plus with Diep Flap Surgery your breast is monitored every hour 24 hours a day for 2 to 3 days by a nurse. So the open pocket on the maternity bra is ideal especially at 3am in the morning! I don't have the name of bra but I bought size XL product code T33 02722/0737. Hope helpful, all you sufferers out there stay strong.

This girdle is lovely and comfortable to wear and gives a nice smooth outline under tighter fitting clothes. The high waist keeps my tummy trim too, would buy again.

Picked this garment up last week,have had on twice and not very happy .It flattens your stomach but pushes the fat up giving a bad muffin top .The top also bends over which was very annoying.Im a size 12 and don't have a lot of fat but the bit of fat I do have was pushed up hence the muffin top.Was better without it on , would not recommend.

. The girdle is very good and firm and holds my tommy very firm. The only problem I had was the difficulty in getting the right size as the size guide for this product is not very explicit. I had to return the first buy as it was too small. It will be very helpful if the size guide can be according to pant size rather than dress size; also M&S to try and make black colour not only white. Otherwise, it is a very good purchase and I recommend it.

Good fit and comfortable - I've always found them so. I just hope M&S's always stock them.

Have been looking for this type of girdle for a while and was pleased m and s stock this. Would be easier if sizes were shown on website instead of waist size. Comes up nice and high on waist unlike others that are almost bikini and are uncomfortable. A good buy.

Reviewers have been remarking on the poor sizing on this item since 2010 and I had the same experience in 2014! According to the size guide I had to order 33-34 waist as I am a size 16. The option to order by dress size was not given. When they arrived they were sized on the box as a size 18. This is very confusing. The item however is good quality but in my opinion over priced.

Really pleased with this garment, so pleased went out the day after wearing it and bought another one! I have a back pain and found this garment easy to put on, comfortable to wear and the support was just what I wanted. So pleased as I thought I would never find the right girdle for me. Thanks, for knowing just what I wanted! The ordering and collecting from my local store was made easy and a good experience..
