A temptingly deep purple coloured wine with intense aromas, the Shiraz and merlot grapes from this blend come from the Stellenbosch region where ocean breezes from False Bay moderate the hot sun. The result is a finely balanced yet fully ripe red wine crafted by Villiera’s Jeff Grier who aged a portion of the wine for 6 months in oak to bring a softness and complexity to the blend. As Jeff believes in handling the wine as little as possible to retain flavour, there may be a small harmless sediment in the bottle.

The colour of this wine is fantastic so rich however the taste is ok but a bit harsh for my pallet but found an ideal way to make it to my taste just add a little water and it was perfect then for me .

This is a very nice cool climate wine - complex and good quality, but it is not full bodied - this is what it says on the label. If you are after a lush ripe wine this is not for you. This is medium bodied with soft tannins, high acidity - all the hallmarks of cool climate wine. It is lovely to try this for something different and I do recommend it.
