About this bottle: Slovenia’s Brda region lies in the Gorizia Hills, a beautiful area near (and indeed straddling) the Italian border. The Pinot Bianco grapes for this wine were grown on steeply terraced south-facing vineyards, where the winemaking is traditional and all vine work carried out by hand.

A ripe and mouthwatering dry white with flavours of lime zest, baked apples and guava.

About this bottle: Criss-crossed by wheat fields, orchards, farms and vineyards, it’s no wonder South Africa’s Swartland region is known as ‘the bread basket of Cape Town’. This ripe Chenin is made with grapes grown on the border with Wellington, where the crumbly granite soils give the fruit extra definition.

About this bottle: While it's not a household name, the Trebbiano grape is believed to produce more wines than any other variety (it's even the grape behind French brandy). Here it is in its most familiar guise – a fruity, friendly and uncomplicated quaffer from the Rubicon area of northeast Italy.

About this bottle: Far from following trends, food and drink are just part of everyday life in Greece. The country is home to some grape varieties you can’t find anywhere else. One of these, the delicately perfumed Roditis, takes centre stage here, giving this very distinctive rosé its intense fragrance.
