M&S COCKTAILS ARE SUMMER IN A CAN
From a classic G&T to sparkling spritzers, M&S cocktails in a can have achieved iconic, national-treasure status
There was a time when drinking a cocktail from a can was done a bit sheepishly – a guilty swig as you made your way to a party or a fun, slightly tongue-in-cheek addition to a summer picnic. But since we saw Fleabag’s Hot Priest knock back an M&S cocktail (tipple of choice: G&T), the tide has officially turned. And I for one am hugely thankful, because with outdoor socialising officially on the summer 2021 menu, what could be nicer than a perfectly transportable M&S cocktail in a can – perfect for parks, picnics, garden parties and ‘walktails’? With a fruity bramble, lime-spiked mojito, classic G&T and a new range of lower-alcohol spritzers to choose from in store (not to mention the M&S cocktails hamper shoppable online), my pick is the aperitivo spritzer – a blend of white wine and fragrant orange bitters.
