Created especially for us by an up-and-coming Argentinian producer, this velvety malbec is the ultimate autumn red

For me, the changing seasons mean it’s out with the rosé, in with the red wine. And this autumn’s obsession is The Party Malbec. It’s made by Matias Riccitelli in his eponymous winery in Argentina. Matias is a something of a maverick, favouring cutting-edge techniques and innovative tools. He experiments with egg-shaped concrete ‘caves’, for example, to ferment his wines. The result of his efforts is this delicious, rich red, with notes of raspberry and ripe plum, and a soft, clean mouthfeel. Delicious alongside charred steak or rich tomato pasta.
