THE GREAT
BRITISH BLAZER

Full of heritage, this modern alternative to the sports jacket uses wool that’s spun, dyed and woven in a traditional UK mill, says menswear editor William Oliver

Abraham Moon & Sons has been weaving fine woollen fabrics at its mill in Guiseley, Leeds, for more than 175 years. Established in 1837 to supply a growing market, it has remained to this day one of the only British mills to complete all processes on site – from spinning the yarn out of raw wool to dying, weaving and finishing the material. This particular blazer is made using a rich green pure British new wool herringbone and tailored for a modern take on a traditional shape. Its slimmer two-button cut, button-down pockets, notch lapel and fun grouse-print lining combine to add an injection of contemporary style into a classic country look, making it a great investment for autumn and winter.
