THE COLOUR-FIX
HAIR WAND
Hide grey hairs and touch up regrowth between salon appointments with ‘Guardian of Colour’ Josh Wood’s blending wands, suggests beauty editor Jess Clark
I’ve reached that age when rogue grey hairs are appearing faster than I’d like, so Josh Wood’s blending wands are a godsend. Used correctly, they’re a nifty solution for hiding grey spots and touching up roots between salon visits. Applied incorrectly – with a heavy hand and not set with a hairdryer – the product may tint the skin, so use a light touch and avoid the scalp. The application is straightforward: I start with damp hair (dry is also fine), dispense the colour carefully without overloading the brush, then blow dry. The wands are a clever temporary fix that lasts up to three shampoos, giving hair a just-coloured look until you can get to the salon.
