There’s a new trend in town when it comes to organic alcohol. Raise a glass and usher in the age of biodynamic wine with this fruity Greek red

The organic movement has been gathering pace since the Sixties, but now there’s a new way to start feeling good about what you drink in the form of biodynamic wines. Xinomavro from Naousa in Greece is made according to the principles of biodynamic viticulture, where vineyards become supercharged, self-sustaining systems in which the land is manually weeded and ploughed and any unnatural pesticides are strictly forbidden. Which all sounds lovely, but how does it translate to taste? Crafted by maverick young winemaker Apostolos Thymiopoulos, it’s highly scented, bursting with ripe fruit and has a unique intensity and finesse. If you’re a fan of Barolo, you’ll love this. Trust me, this is one bandwagon you’re going to want to jump on.
